**** those who are stripping diaz.

man, that sounded dirty. anyway, it does not really matter. juan diaz is THE man at 135. can't nobody claim otherwise. the abc org who will take their belt away from the baby bull will settle for a second rate champ, i.e., katsidis.

It's a shame that this had to happen, but what does it matter since Joel Cassamayor is still the legitimate LW champion?

The big loss out of all of this is the Diaz/Katsidis match up. That fight has fight of the year written all over it. Hopefully they will still be able to fight in the near future. I still can't figure out why Don King pulled th eplug on this one? I guess it's because he was not in the country to go to the purse bid for Diaz/Katsidis. But I assumed a promoter as savvy as Don King would have been aware of the purse bid and only missed attending it knowingly. I suppose King was just playing politics and trying to f**k with Golden Boy Promotions.

If the WBO strips him, then the WBA will automatically strip him as well.

Diaz goes back to square one with the IBF meaning belt wise. But who cares anyway, he is the man to beat at lightweight and can still show all 3 belts on fight night.

I think it works out nicely actually.

Katsidis needed a few more fights before taking on Diaz and most likely by the time they meet down the road, it'll probably be a unification fight that would be closer than if they met right now.

Un****ing real....another blow to boxings credibility...****ing disgrace...What about Casa ignoring his mandatory against Santa Cruz?? What about Katsidas signing to fight Casa before Diaz singned to fight Campbell doesnt that make Katsidas abit more guilty???So why wouldnt they strip Katsidas of the Interim belt??? We can tell ourselves all we want that the belts don't matter well they do...Whether we like it or not they shape the landscape..They are however part of the equation. I think the rest goes to corrupt judges and promoters. This being a prime example...Now I'm forced to take bong hits and watch classic boxing..****

not necessarily cause he still has the IBF belt, so he is still unified champ and therefore Super Champion as far as the WBA is concerned

It's not the belts...It's the sanctioning bodies, who along with corrupt promoters dictate who fights who..Who is stripped, who is ****ed and who isn't..You might not care about the belts however the boxers do as it's a ticket for money and recognition..Diaz is on a mission to unify all the titles(a monumental feat) Only a fighter should be in his way..Not some crooked piece of **** santioning body or some shady ****ing promoter....The Ring has lost all credibility in my book for NOT stripping Casa..The fact that he will be fighting Katsidas for a stolen belt and the Ring tells you how ****ed up this sport is...So again whether we like it or not the sanctioning bodies play a roll...The fans cant ****ing stand the injustice...The boxing media is ok with this somehow...****ing Disgrace:-(

While I personaly care less about the stupid straps, as I know who is the real champ, you put it into a very relevant prospective.
