That's a common Mexican body type, is basically what it comes down to - but Diaz makes a young Vargas look like a body builder, I disagree. Vargas wasn't cut to death, but he wasn't a dough boy like that either.
I actually kind of like Juan Diaz, I mean he proves that being cut or aesthetically appealing isnt a prerequisite for being a good fighter
Thats just his build mate....Fact is he's comfortable at that weight which is a main factor in his success. Why ruin it? or take a chance by starving or being dehydrated? Makes no sense at all really On a side note George Foreman won a title training and eating fudgecicles for months
I wouldnt even call it "extra" weight....I imagine the guy walks around at 145-155, so I'm sure he has weight to work off.....You make it sound like he just hops on the scale and thats that....To your question..of course it helps him with his stamina as he's not known for having to kill himself to make weight. The fact that he doesnt have ripped abs means nothing at all....think about it.....many great champions some even ATGs werent cut at all.....I never remember Ali having a six-pack. Can you? I hope you understand the points I've made Cheers:good
