Marquez is one of those guy's.

He can bang with the best of em and is one of the most complete fighter's ive ever seen.

His combination punching, counter punching and accuracy is unreal.

Diaz could find out soon enough what being one dimensiaonl is all about. :deal

Another problem for Diaz is that he does'nt have the power to hurt Marquez, where as Hatton as the power to stop Pac to the body imo and even hurt him to the head.

Seems hes on the way praparing for pac as his next bout. He should talk about JMMs flaw instead.

I think his best chance would be against Pac actually.

Marquez can do it all and has more weapons than a ninja.

Hatton would beat him at his own game.

Diaz is a small lightweight and a machine, but Hatton is a big light welterweight and can take his shots and go toe to toe with him for 12.

Some people just dont know when to credit someone for showing true boxing skill......

If you were to compare Katsidis with JMM as far as boxing skills are concerned......

Katsidis would be a cheap kids tricycle made in china, while JMM would be a full fledged motor running million dollar Rolls Royce.

My point being is that you dont point to boxing improvement over having outboxed a Michael Katsidis type.

I think Bradley and Campbell would also give Hatton a run for his money.

You've made your self abundantly clear about how you view this fight and you have for sometime now. You of coarse know I completely disagree with you so.... we shall see my friend.

Definitely agree that JMM is completely different than Katsidis and that goes without saying. I was just pointing out that Diaz fought a disciplined fight against Kat and that was unusual for him. As far as how he should fight JMM, honestly I'm not to sure how he should fight him. Part of me thinks that he should go back to his normal high volume punching style because he's the naturally bigger man and he won't be able to out box a master boxer in JMM anyways. The other part of me thinks that his aggression won't work against JMM who will be too slick for him and will end up countering his bursts. :think

I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Pacquiao was labeled as "one dimensiona" for years and years by boxing experts, and that didnt stop him from keeping on winning.

I think Hatton has enough skills in his one dimension to defeat Pacquiao.

The fight will not be a Pacquiao blow out, IMO.

But I'm rooting for Pac to win decisively, of course.

Good point, however Pac was able to overcome his limitations with superior speed and power. Hatton is not as physically gifted and is fighting against a guy who skilled enough to really exploit his deficiencies. Like Diaz I think Hatton's style very much plays into the hands of Pac.

Yes it is hard to find many fighters that can be good in different styles, they are the true elite. And it is easy enough to be a guy like Kelly pavlik whose one demention is good enough to convincingly beat down every B+ fighter in his division. Just like Hatton can beat down basically everyone in his division b/c they are all B+ fighters. But to hang with the top dawgs on the p4p list you need to have more dementions, b/c they all can fight in different styles. Just like Hopkins schooled Pavlik and Mayweather schooled Hatton. Even Manny with all his one dementional talent eventually had to add more wrinkles to his game after the Morales fight.
