I think he just overlooked Campbell. It's as simple as that. Nate's been fighting for a long time, and has looked to be on the tail end of his career. This fight could have been the "Lightning in a Bottle" the some fighters catch at the tail-end of their careers. It's happened before, it will happen again.

Malignaggi would beat Juan Diaz ass!!!! Are you serious do you honestly think that Diaz would beat Malignaggi? give me a break, Any 1D pressure fighter like Diaz will get eaten alive by Malignaggi. Malignaggi is 1D himself, but the fighters that mess him up are counter punchers, Cotto mixed it up on him with pressure and slightly countering him....Diaz doesn't know how to counter punch, all he does is come head first trying to lean up against you and throwing slapping punches.

    1. Diaz can't in 1 million years KO Malignaggi
    2. Malignaggi could probably throw just as many punches as Diaz
    3. Straight shots land quicker than the looping hooks that Diaz throw

Case closed, IDK how people could vote that Diaz would beat Malignaggi, That **** would NOT HAPPEN :deal

My post was directed at the people who couldn't understand how he throws so many punches, and is so fit despite his physique.

Malignaggi has looked less then impressive in recent performances, and has trouble fighting on the inside, unlike Campbell did.

The reason Paulie look bad because he was in with a counter puncher. Instead of Herman going in he just counter punch Paulie all night. Paulie has the style to make Juan look bad. If Juan had power I might favor him but going speed for speed with Paulie is not a good way of beating him. I think because of his style and having a really good jab Juan would have an easier time with Witter or Hatton.

I agree that Paulies movement would give Juan fits. However, if juan gets inside (likely) Paulie is very limited from this position. Would be an interesting and still very close fight IMO. Witter is far more difficult, as he is quicker on his feet again, has more power then Paulie, and can hit Juan from angles.

This is very necessary against Diaz to penetrate his high guard. Paulie doesn't use anywhere near the same amount of angles and combinations that Witter does.

Hatton v Diaz would be a good fight, I picked Diaz previously, I am probably going with Hatton at this point. Hatton is still far from perfect on the inside, and it would be a great war of attrition. Would depend on how well Diaz handled the increase in weight, and the strength of Hatton.
