I seem to remember having Casa up after the 9th round, but it wasn't by much. I must have given Katsidis 5 rounds or so. And lets not forget Casa was in SERIOUS trouble when he was knocked through the ropes. He is most definitely far past his best (just being subjective here, no hating). And theres no way he can put it on "cruise control" against a guy like Pac who forces you to fight every minute of every round. Casa runs out of steam and gets stopped in the 8-10 range in my opinion

    casa-jmm
    nate-guzman
    pac-diaz
    katsidis diaz

that's the lightweight tournament right there. i hope the winners face each other so we can crown an undisputed lighweight king by next year. 135 and 115 are the hottest divisions right now

Right on! How do you have it all going down (if these fights come off)? I have:

    JMM over Casa
    Guzman over Nate
    Pac over Diaz
    Juan over Katsidis

It would be so perfect if all these fights came through and the winners fought eachother. This is how I see it going:

    JMM UD Casa
    Guzman UD Campbell
    Pac TKO David Diaz
    Juan Diaz TKO Katsidis

Guzman UD JMM and Juan Diaz TKO Pac, then Guzman UD Juan Diaz to become undisputed.

    or

Guzman UD Pac and Juan Diaz UD JMM, then Guzman UD Juan Diaz to become undisputed.

If the best fight the best, Guzman should end up the undisputed, undefeated LW champion and a sealed top 100 ATG.

Well Casamayor in the last month had been scheduled at one time or another to be fighting David Diaz-Manny Pacquiao winner,Marco Antonio Barrera,Juan Manuel Marquez, called out Erik Morales agian :-( ,Nate Campbell and Juan Diaz. No mention of that one dude he fought in November.

So Nate-Guzman is getting close? Can we expect that for late Summer as your original plans?

    jmm UD casamayor
guzman UD campbell (i'd love it if i'll be wrong on this one)
    pac late TKO diaz
juan diaz late TKO katsidis (cuts)

for the second round, i'd like to have guzman versus jmm and diaz versus pac. technical superiority on one fight and agression and power in the other. hopefully, pac and jmm will both win to set the finale of their trilogy which will crown the undisputed lightweight champion and the best of our generation.

if this happens, i'll be a very happy guy.

I had an issue with Team Diaz (basically Savannah and GBP) acting like the Campbell fight never happened. They mentioned 6 or 7 other fighters they wanted, but no mention ever of wanting a rematch. And add in all the bs allegations about the drug testing in Mexico, and other crap. I felt that as a man Juan should have spoken out about those issues, but he didn't.

And now he at least expressed a desire to eventually straighten things with Nate. In the ring. For that, he got my respect back.

Even though I disagree about the Campbell-Guzman result (no ****, LOL), the other results I mostly agree with. Diaz-Katsidis is a pick 'em for me though....

Your problem is your second round matchups. Since Golden Boy is just going to play a game of "pass the Ring belt around amongst GBP fighters", the second round would be the JMM-Casa winner against the Diaz-Katsidis winner. Plus, if the dates stay the same, Those 2 fights would be Sept 13, and Oct 11, both dates being too late for the winner to conceivably be ready for an Oct/Nov Pacquiao date.

Most likely the Campbell-Guzman winner would fight the Pac-D. Diaz winner, since none of the 4 are with Golden Boy. (Sycuan bought out GBP's interest in Guzman). And with Nate-Guz hopefully taking place in early August, the winner would in fact be ok with an Oct-Nov Pac date. And also that way Arum doesn't have to give half the promotion to GBP, as he does anytime Pac fights a GBP fighter.

Since he's part of Nate Campbell's promotional team, It might've had something to do with when Juan Diaz' camp said Campbell cheated and was on steroids.

I take it you think he beat Santa Cruz as well huh

Casamayor will always be a tough fight because he's a genius in the ring. He knows every in, out, every bump in the mat, every detail. He's as crafty as they come and of course, he's still a skilled dude.

That said, He's on the decline...and watching him strugglle and get knocked around by Michael Katsidis and the Santa Cruz loss tells me that JMM (barring some weird scoring) would take his title from him.

Lets see the fight happen...but god damn PPV?

Are you also saying santa cruz > pac , juan diaz ?!!

Anyway, it's just an opinion. Everyone is entitled to that!

At this stage of casa's career even david diaz will win over casa but 5 years ago I agree it would be a different story..Well just my opinion too!
