Im happy for him. As Teddy Atlas said, hes a great ambassador for the sport. He was a great champion by taking on tough challenges and was a very good fighter. A lot of young fighters should follow by his example and prepare for a life after boxing. Hes a champion at life and I wish him all the best. One of the good guys in the sport.

Was a crazy fighter pre JMM KO.... after that he just wasn't the same ever again...

loses to Paulie, JMM again... just gives up... you could tell he no longer was the baby bull the new way he fought avoiding exchanges and trying to be a safe boxer.

Smart of him, and the best of luck in his future endeavours.

Dude was an exciting man to watch in the ring. He should be proud of his achievements.

Diaz threw more consecutive punches in a combination than pretty much any fighter ever before he fought Campbell. I think his style burnt him out. Great warrior.

The guy was only 27. I think he had a lot more to give. He didn't exactly lose to journeymen now, did he?

But he's doing what he thinks is right, I guess. The World LW scene would have tore him up at this stage.

    Good luck to him.

He's a smart guy, got his own construction company, ranch, restaurant, and has his law degree. Hes made an effort at investing his money and hopefully it pays off well. Exciting fighter while he was around.
