The May comeback fight for Ricky Hatton against an top US opponent looks likely to be Juan Diaz. Diaz who's had his fight with Michael Katsidis cancelled this week could be in pole postion to step up and face the Hitman. Promoters Golden Boy would like the fight to stay in the United States but it is understood that Hatton wants his next bout in the UK. This fight should be announced early January 2008.

Is Juan Diaz much smaller? Didn't he start at 140lbs?

No, Diaz responded to being called out by Pacquiao earlier as I recall.

Diaz is no slouch. Expect fireworks. This would be a good fight. I see Hatton taking this one, but it ain't gonna be easy.

he never actaully called out diaz... it was just an interview, when ask when he would fight Diaz after diaz beat his fellow countryman (Suico)he said he is open to the idea and will fight him.

Diaz called him out after a fight. twice!

here asking PAC to step up and fight him. :yep

In boxing, if you mention you will fight another man, it is calling him out. Otherwise, you play the political game and say you fight who they put in front of you. Right?

Pac was just answering the question if he would fight diaz, he said yes... i think thats a standard answer from all boxers.

Pac didn't ask nor demand diaz to fight him... Diaz did.
