How long is Amir going to stay at lightweight? hes a big man at 5`10" diaz is 5`6", Khan is so much bigger than the rest of the lightweights in frame and height, its only a matter of time before he starts moving up! methinks

Diaz Vs. Khan would not be a competative fight.
Khan is no where near championship material
Nothing more than sparring partner calibre for Diaz.
    Fast but cant really fight.
Khan and Malignaggi should hold hands.
    Neither can fight a lick.

I think that the KD in the Limond fight in fact was a good thing for Khan as if you really have to taste the canvas once (like 99% of the boxers suffer a KD in their career) it's better to taste it as early in the pro career as possible and learn from it. It was a great mind blow too for Khan never to forget that it isn't a game and he should take every fighter seriously.

I have to agree that if Limond was a very good puncher and a better finisher Khan's record would be 15-1 by now. But I strongly believe that the Khan of 2008 - and because of that KD - never ever will be in that situation again. His focus in his last fight was perfect.

People on here seem to think Diaz is invincible.....well I think he is very predictable to be honest. If you cover up for his flurries (or keep him at range which a guy like Khan could do) then he needs to rest for about 10-15 seconds after he blows his load. A slick boxer like Guzman would also give him nightmares imo....good lateral movement and isn't stationary for periods of time so that Diaz's flurries mostly miss....he's there for the taking afterwards. Katsidis on the other hand,,,well I would love to see this matchup. Diaz has never felt anyone hit him with near the power Katsidis brings to the table, but Katsidis is also very limited and would be standing in front of Diaz blocking all his flurries with his face  . I would go stoppage round 8-10 because Katsidis is unrecognizeable. Unfortunately this fight could change Katsidis forever with the pounding he would probably take. Diaz would also get rocked at least a few times too....but he would come out on top

Well to say Diaz is predictable... well, because he fights always brutally aggressive maybe you can say that but I wouldn't say that he's predictable and predictable or not he's not letting any chances to counter-punch him, throws punches in all 3 minutes, his offense is his best defensive weapon and ALWAYS enforces his will on his opponents who just can't keep up with the pace.

Of course a Guzman fight would be different as Joan is a very good counter-puncher and a great offensive fighter as well but it's hard to see him winning 7 rounds even if he lands the crispier shots. That's because he gets back a dozen punches for every one he throws and even with a better landing percentage it's hard to see how he can keep up with the amount of 1000+ punches coming from very different angles. And of course Diaz is very quick so he can get away with most his mistakes and loose defense. But Diaz-Guzman would be great, as Diaz is not flawless.

Of course the topic is about the comparison of the two young talents' way to the top.

Oh, just to add another FACT to my post: Juan Diaz never had a 12 rounder before his world title fight.

Yes because he has an excellent chin doen't he

Earl caught him and put him in silly street for a few seconds, so doubt he will take shots from the big boys in LW.

READ THE FIRST POST, I've just added another info.

My point is: trashing Khan because of his competition ('overrated') or the knockdowns he received ('no chin') or the hype he's getting doesn't mean much... it’s the talent that matters and I've got Diaz' record and his barely-wins in comparison to show that. And you know where's Diaz at right now, so dragging out the dangerous moments from their career and constantly using them as ‘expert’ arguments is a wrong view of our sport.

The topic is not about who’s better of the two or who would win a fight between the two.

Juan Diaz would pummel the living **** out of Kahn...I hope this fight comes off so we all can witness the scary beatdown Juan would hand out and while I'm at it any of Juans previous castaways from the past 2 years gives Kahn a beatdown
