Diaz was pretty hot for a while at LW and Gatti wasnt at all probably his worst slump.

Id take Diaz by decision, but would not rule out a Gatti coming from behind for a ko.

Ill take Diaz by an exciting but comfortable decision.

At last! A fantasy matchup where I can take Gatti!

Arturo wouldn't be too bothered by the workrate, and at 135 he def hit hard enough to damage the **** out of Diaz. Hell I'll go all the way and take Gatti by late stoppage.

I think I'll take Gatti too. First time Ive ever taken him in a MM. Gatti didnt really have a slump at 135, he lost to a prime Manfredy, who was a good technican, and Robinson, who was simply too quick for him. Plus theres a good chance he woulda WON the Manfredy fight had they not stopped it. Diaz would build up an early lead with his activity, but the problem is he doesnt have the firepower to damage Gatti. And in the long run in a war I'll take Gatti. Not only because he was the bigger puncher, but he had alot more heart then the front running Diaz. I think around the 10th or 11th round he catches Diaz with the "Thunder" hook that puts Juan on his back.

Probably Diaz by decision after outworking Gatti, but Thunder had the power to trouble the Baby Bull and could stop him.

Gatti all night long. If Diaz though he had a problem with Marquez's power what would happen if he ate a hook from Gatti?

Would Gatti have taken Diaz's best shots better than Diaz took Gatti's at LW? I think yes. So we're talking 98 Gatti? I'm undecided (fence is comfortable) part of me thinks Gatti's will would've broke Diaz's heart. Part of me thinks Diaz's youth, work rate and relentless pressure would've stopped Gatti.

Yep, I'll go for Diaz. Gatti would get caught once too often when he went macho and the ref would've stepped in about the 8th or 9th. But a foty that would've been.

Gatti would have worn him down I'd say and stopped him late

Really depends where the fight took place, on neutral ground I go a 7-5 split to Juan Diaz.
