diaz would destroy valero... From what i have seen valero is very wild and slow slugger. I'm sure with the baby bulls type of fighting style he will smother most of valeros punches while moving in and at the same time unloading multipule combos on valero untill he quits in his corner or get dropped.:hat:rasta

Diaz wins this by comfortable UD. It'll go down like Diaz vs Katsidis. Juan outboxes the very limited Valero into a relatively easy unanimous decision.

I think this would be a great fight, Diaz doesn't have the power of Valero but he would definitely find the angles and get inside his wild shots. I take Diaz by decision or possibley late TKO.

it is still diaz but i do not think these two would fight each other in the near future

valero is still on his way up...he must fight JMM to get respect before his chin is exposed...im sure he would make a good account of himself against JMM

I would favor Valero because at this point Baby Bull has been broken by The Galaxxy Warrior. Marquez was the first to reap the benefits of what Nate has sown. Secondly, I always like to see Valero fight someone with serious power, to see how he fares in a toe-to-toe slugfest where he would receive serious bombs. Pitalua, although possessing knockout power himself, looked incapable of giving Valero that kind of an exchange. Probably because 1) he's too slow or 2) he's too intimidated by Valero, the big lights, or both.

If Valero takes on someone like Barrios or a Juarez and knocks him out, that would be something worth banging the drums for.

Absolutely hell no IMO. Valero is on a different level, Katsidis is very limited. The Venezuelan looked raw in his past few fights, but he didn't really have a trainer since he moved to Japan. He has BIG potential. He really looked well in these sparring videos, and I think Alcazar will bring out the be(a)st of Valero.

Diaz is still one of the best LWs and it takes a special fighter to beat him, so it's not an easy prediction, 50-50 right now IMO. But I think Valero will look better from fight to fight, so in a year or so, I think I'd pick him. But no way Valero and Katsidis should be mentioned in the same sentence. They both hit hard, and the similarities end here.

I see Valero beating Katsidis, not so sure about Diaz though.

Last night was the first time I saw Valero, he was awful. His chin was up even in close, wild exchanges, he just left it up there. I really didn't see anything impressive and I can't believe the hype he has.

    Katsidis KTFO early.
