Murray being as easy as he is to hit, will be the one quitting if anyone, in a fight against Diaz.

i was there and have to agree, mitchell diden,t look to have hurt katsidas, certainly nothing worth reporting on anyhow, murray v diaz would be a hell of a fight, so would katsidas v jmm, there to hard to predict very entertaining fights,

great fight for Murray to prove himself. Diaz has lost a few recently but that doesn't demote him. He is a genuine former champ who if Murray beat then he would immediately be thrust into the top rankings UNLESS it looked like Diaz was totally shot and couldn't get off.

Have a word with yourself

Murray hasn't fought anyone that would even be allowed to spar with Diaz..... nor is his chin proven.

Diaz by KO - harder puncher, better chin, basically better at everything.

He felt the weight of the punches definately but i doubt he was hurt:good

TBF to Mitchell his punches carry a bit of sting but he simply isnt a strong lightweight.

As if Hennessey could arrange this fight!

Murray is one stupid idiot, his deal with Henessey runs out in OCtober and he is considering re-signing.

Really you dont consider the fact that he was wobbled by malinaggi or the fact that he doesnt know how to fight off the backfoot playing into murrays advantage, Murrays dominated his opposition , Not once has he looked troubled in any of his title fights, Hes beyond domestic level if you ask me and theres no 1 in europe at 135 that can touch him, Juan diaz hasnt the same punch resistance anymore if he came in with his usual style i feel at this point in his career he'll come off second best to murray,

Except when Al Hamidi nearly beat him. Yeah no trouble at all.

Diaz doesn't need the punch resistance - I really like Murray but he's not got fast enough hands or the technique to deal with a guy like Diaz. Diaz would stay in his grill all night and cut his face to ribbons.

He was wobbled by Malignaggi, but still managed to take plenty off Marquez on Saturday and be competitive through most of the fight.

I'm not particularly big on Diaz, but until Murray beats someone that can actually box or fight at a decent level then you've got to side with the opponent.

Murray, to me anyway, just isn't that good. He's well schooled and trained, but everything about him just looks average.

    Average footwork
    Average handspeed
    Average power
    Average defence
    Average ring IQ

    Chin ???

    :good

i'm not saying he'll dominate the LW division but i think its a fight he's capable of winning considering diaz is past it, theres obviously other fighters out there at world level that would embarass him.

I got to agree with you WhamBam, the Diaz v Murray fight wouldn't be such a forgone conclusion as people make out.

Murray is a huge lightweight and I feel he could bully Diaz around the ring, breaking him down in the process and Diaz isn't hard to hit either.

He has been in the ring with more skilful fighters than Murray but he won't have been in with many who hit harder, I just feel Murray could win a decision.

    Stranger things have happened.
