I wont go over your head next time. :good

I said he should and could win with a level playing field. But it simply will not be the case. Juan Diaz is not as good as HBO made him seem. Lakva Sim was a belt holder and he has stepped up twice and been hammered.

First off, there is no way in hell Malignaggi could win every round vs Juan Diaz who IMO is better skilled and a lot faster than Hatton.

Say what you want about GBP, but thanks to them boxing is moving. In other words they put their best fighters vs their best, wether veteran or prospect. They've made Top Rank have to do the same in order to compete. GBP is great for boxing.

This is the main reason why I called you a moron. Diaz power is slightly below average, but his relentlesness, his speed, and his work ratio compensates for his lack of one punch KO power. Diaz has a great variety in his arsenal. He throws just about every punch, and consistantly. He has beat a few craft veterans, some really good propects, and has only lost to Campbell in a very close fight and against arguably the best boxer right now.

Paulie is mediocre at best. JMM is LEAGUES above Paulie, and we saw how Diaz faired vs the power boxer JMM.

Clearly, you know very little about boxing, or I can give you the benefit of the doubt and say you know very little about Diaz, Malignaggi, and JMM.

Juan Diaz beat a very strong, very crafty veteran in Freitas, beat a very good prospect in Cotto, beat a very talented fighter in Julio Diaz, beat Aussie prospect Katsidis, was neck to neck vs JMM before he was KO, and lost a very close fight vs Nate.

WTF do you mean he's not as good as HBO makes him out to be?? I haven't seen HBO or anyone say he is the second coming of JCC, or currently unstoppable.

He's arguably the best LW. Its all. :hi:

im picking diaz by SD, but Paulie has most of the advantages....reach, height, speed, footwork, and stamina.....

juan diaz has a good attitude, and has heart.....personally i think malignaggi has more heart then diaz.....he went 12 with cotto with a broken orbital bone, took everything hatton threw at him....paulie is a tough SOB

I think diaz will throw more, and outpoint paulie....but it will be a close fight, if paulie can use his world class jab, and not afraid to use the right hand behind it....I think he will have his moments....I have always said diaz is like a poor mans hatton....hatton does everything better then diaz IMO

Look all I can say is Diaz does not have a good defense at all. Lacks head movement. And is flat footed. I would never place Malignaggi on the same level as Marquez. The every round comment was to bring attention to the fact he has no chance on the score cards regardless. Golden Boy is just as corrupt as anyone else. And as for me having no boxing knowledge thats kind of a low blow on your behalf to make a statement like that based on a single post in a forum where everyone voices their opinion. I was raised by a boxer, my grandfather was a boxer. I grew up around many different boxers. I love the sport just hate what is happening to it. We simply disagree on Diaz's talent. No Hard Feelings.

Paulie has always been overrated at ESB. I don't even know why.

He looked like a C level fighter vs Hatton.
He looked like a B- level fight vs Lovemore.
And he got the living snot beat out of him vs Cotto.

Now, I understand he shows mad heart, and I think highly of him in that respect, but he has never impressed me.

Hatton has worse defense than Diaz imo. But anyway, we can agree to disagree. I think it's cool you come from a boxing family. As for calling you moron, and saying you have no knowledge, I do it to spice things up and get in heated arguments as I try to kill time at work. No hard feelings whatsoever. :cheers

the first n'dou fight is paulie's most complete performance, he showed he was world class at 140.....the second ndou fight is he hurt his hand in the second half, and hasn't been the same since....I've followed paulie's carear and at his best he is world class....the hatton fight was a case of bad stylistic matchup for him.....

diaz is an exciting fighter, and world class as well....he is similar to hatton, which i have never been to impressed with juan diaz technical skills....

I think that Diaz should win UD 12 but I dunno how he going to react in moving up in weight. I know Paulie has no power but he does have speed and we don't know if Diaz is going to carry his speed up a weight class. Looking at the pics this is the biggest I ever saw Diaz before a fight. I think Diaz should win UD12 but I wouldn't be shocked if Diaz looks bad tonight and Paulie wins UD12.

I had never seen Paulie before Cotto, so I just know that Paulie of today.

As for Diaz being like Hatton, I don't see it at all. Hatton punches and holds, Diaz punches, punches, punches some more and steps out of the pocket to reset.

Almost opposites in the way they apply pressure.

The weight si the only concern I have because I feel that Diaz should or could be fighting at 130.

after the manny fight, i'm sure diaz is better now....but i always thought hatton had a good jab, it put mayweather off balance....better footwork, power, speed then diaz....the hatton that fought paulie.....

diaz is probably a better pressure fighter then hatton because like you said he keeps throwing and hatton is a body puncher diaz is all about punch out-put, personally I thought in the marquez fight he gased himself out, but paulie doesnt have the power to put diaz down like marquez did....

He's a decent puncher, I would rate Diaz as a decent puncher too. Neither of them are KO artists but Hatton is definitely a better puncher. Hatton CAN hurt when he commits and lands a big punch.
