Juan Diaz vs Michael Katsidas....the "other" battle. Who wins?

The only way I see Katsidas winning this fight is if he get's the "Baby Bull's" respect early.
(With either a KD or opening a cut on Diaz in the 1st half of the fight)

Both guy's are coming off of crushing defeats
I wonder if those fight's may have changed their mentality?
(This fight will tell everything we need to know about them)

If it goes to the card's, I would favor Diaz. (on paper)
Before 6 RDs. I'd favor Katsidas...

But I'll stick to my OG prediction of WAR!!

Yeah Mike has to get his respect,maybe even tring some B-Hop going in with the head to cut Diaz early but he has a great heart and I'm sure he will win

 

Katsidis will stop him late. Both are hittable, the differance being Kat has legit dynamite power, whereas Diaz cant punch. He might hurt Kat, but I doubt he'll put him away. And he'll eventually get put away himself. But its gonna be a great one!

 

Diaz has the sightly better stamina,chin and accuracy.
where as katstidas hits harder in my eyes.
anyway Diaz TKO11 in a thriller.

 

Diaz just doesnt have the fire power to knock out Katz, ill say Katz win UD.

 

Don't think Diaz has better chin or stamina,he just phases himself better and his chin is untested(he never was hit clean on the chin),accuracy indeed he has over Katsidis

I Like Diaz In This Fight...this Fight Could Be Great Because Both Styles Come Straight Forward

 

diaz definately favourite but mick still has a geniune chance.
katsidis lost to a washed up casa (still a great fighter imo) but the fight was very close and should serve as a huge lesson for kats. i think juan might have a little fear for kats power which might keep him a little more defensive then usual.

I'm going with Mikey in this one. I think stylistically he has the advantage. Juan is more skilled no doubt, but he's basically a volume puncher who's not a mover, always comes forward, and stays right in front of you. And that plays into Katsidis' hands, IMO. It further hurts Juan when he doesn't have that much power in his punches to earn Katsidis' respect.

With Katz legit KO power against Diaz' in-your-face style, Katz is bound to land bombs throughout the fight. Which would result in a KO win for Mikey.

Having said that though, I think its imperative that Katsidis has to knock Diaz out BEFORE the championship rounds. If he doesn't and Juan is still standing going into the 10th, then I think Diaz has a VERY good chance of stopping Katsidis due to Juan's severe workrate(throughout the first 9 rounds) taking its toll on Katsidis. I see Mikey getting broken down similar to Cotto.

But I think Katsidis knocking out Diaz is more likely than Diaz surviving and stopping Katsidis in the late rounds. So Im going with Katsidis. :good
