Curious as to how everyone thinks this fight goes down:think
Cotto has a 1" height advantage with both having equal reach
I'm sure many will totally write off Diaz :-(
Honestly their 2 of my favorite fighters and a potential match isn't to far out of the realm of possibility

Personally I could see it going either way.....Either being won by Cottos balance and power, or being won by Diaz's constant pressure, combos and phenominal workrate

I debated on whether to specify a weight, however realistically the fight would take place down the road at 147(if ever)

    Your thoughts mates:think

Baby Bull! Just because I like him more, he'd probably loose but whatever, I'll pick him anyway.

Yea I like both quite a bit...It could be fight of the century:yep I would'nt write off Juan so easily....he's very resilient:deal and usually always nullifies his opponents punches by returning fire twice as hard and with twice as many punches.....How would Cotto be different??

I'm almost leaning towards a UD for Diaz

Not really mate...lets remember Juan just has to bust 140 to be a WW...so 6 pounds and he's fat?? doesnt make sense at all sorry:-(
You'd be amazed how easy it would be with a little extra weight lifting and the proper diet it would be a breeze for Juan:deal

I don't really see how Juan Diaz can win this fight. His pressure fighting is great at lightweight, and possibly 140 but at 147 he will be severely handicapped physically. He has good accumulation power at the moment, I doubt whether his punches would bother Cotto at all

Cotto would meet him in the middle of the ring, and would come out much the better in any exchanges

Fair enough....however bare in mind that Diazs punching power is slightly underrated...he's fought a few tough chinned *******s:deal Making a few champions quit says something too as champions don't quit on there stool from workrate alone:deal ...theres enough power
I also feel that Diaz would carry average power to WW, along with the frightening workrate, very accurate punching(in combos mostly)...I just see it being very difficult for Cotto to overcome this

Well both are pressure fighters who keeps moving forward . . . but Cotto is naturally more powerful compared to the baby bull so I don't think Diaz can back up Cotto.

Cotto will punish Diaz to SUBMISSION.

I believe even Torres will beat Diaz at 140. By the way I'm assuming that the fight will be at 140.

To keep it somewhat realistic its at WW...bear in mind Juan only needs to gain 6 pounds :deal
Need we remember Cotto being stunned by Malignaggi?? Well in case you missed it..it happened......When was the last time Malignaggi threw 120 punches in the 12th round of a brawl??
You see where I'm going here?

Cotto! And why ? Constant pressure and excellent inside work to body, after he tears down diaz thru the body, he will then dismantle his face as he did paulie, zab, pinto, mohammed etc....

I have doubts Juan will get past Nate Campbell. Let alone Cotto.

Well if it's at welter (147) . . . the more I'll pick Cotto. Cotto has become more solid fighter at that weight having to go with weight draining problems. Paullie and Cotto fought at 140 while Diaz is coming in from 135.

Have you ever thought of comparing Diaz to Mosley? I don't even think Diaz will survive Hatton at 140.:D

Cotto will completely out hit and out muscle the BABY BULL.

I love the Baby Bull and he is my 2nd favorite fighter but Cotto is just too big and too strong for him.
