Just curious how everyone would envision a 2nd fight as I think most agree Diaz certainly deserves it....Well:think
Yea I agree getting cut by a headbut never helps espescially when it happens in the first round:deal I think Diaz beats Campbell in the rematch Hopefully the rules will be in effect for the rematch too
Oh yea smartass...have YOU ever fought with blood running in your eye for over a half hour? I highly doubt it It does make a difference espescially when you've never had to deal with such problems.....dare to think...please
i think juan could come back stronger this time. IMO he already got to the point where he thought he'd win no matter what. i think he will be better the 2nd time around
the cut made a difference as Juan kept saying he couldn't see but i doubt the result would change diaz doesn't carry enough power to worry nate
I would like to see that too. JD will prepare and try to make changes . . . I'm sure of that . . . but if it will work . . . we can only guess. I'll still pick Diaz if a second fight happens.
diffinatly better. he got exposed and it wasnt somthing that was totally noticeble before he'll be a much bettter more complete fighter now then ever.
For me it's more of a question whether or not Campbell will have another "miracle" performance....I don't think he will or can.....****ing idiot got KTFO trying to clown a cabdriver...it was more of a serious ownage than Toney getting caught clowning Roy Jones:deal
Well its widely understood that Campbells perfomance was his best ever....Diaz is a warrior and will be back better than ever... So you think Campbell can beat Diaz easier this time around? How?
I think Juan Diaz wins the rematch. Give a huge respect to Campbell! But we have to see ALL factors here: -Nate Campbell put on the performance of his life, he threw 1145 punches (I myself was really looking, no accusations or something, but the clearance of the post-fight drug test, because it was so unbelievable number for a 36 years old… but no post-fight drug test was made… how the hell is that?) -Nate Campbell had a great game plan and stick to it -Nate Campbell's speed and power was there, good body work and combos, great slippery defense as well, Diaz couldn’t land clean -Diaz was VERY VERY VERY distracted by the Don King situation (fight on fight off, opponent this, opponent that, legal situation etc.) -Don King said BEFORE the fight that JD is no more a boxer of his - it turned out that on Saturday, a promotionally free agent Diaz fought a Don King fighter on a Don King event! -the cut very seriously bothered Diaz. It was a head butt that caused a little one, then a punch that opened it up bad, and Nate did the right thing hitting that all night - can't complain about that, Diaz didn't - but still a very bad cut -the cut bothered Diaz so much he couldn't really see what's coming, couldn’t really see where to place his combos, he lost control of the fight (first time in career, new situation, couldn’t adapt to that), it affected his stamina, punch output, confidence etc… So my opinion that Diaz wins the rematch, because it’s a whole different situation for him. He can do a lot more, while I don’t think that Campbell, who did everything good, a beyond belief performance, great stamina, power, punch output, game plan, work on the cut, close but deserved win, can repeat that performance at all. Diaz was distracted, trainer was hurt (Friday incident), Don King situation, very bad cut (couldn't see much), very uncomfortable situation because of the very aggressive opponent with a great defense... So a very confident, not distracted, promoted by GBP or something Diaz (doesn’t have to worry about anything) without a cut, with the usual punch output (that’s 400 more punches!), controlling the fight, fight smart, can and will defeat Campbell, 116-112 like that. Not wider, because Campbell’s style is still a nightmare, but almost everything was against Diaz in the first fight and still was able to make it close…
I think Diaz will be prepared in the next fight for the way Campbell will fight imo. I think he was shocked by the way Campbell came at him and did so well. Hope Campbell keeps on winning
