Despite me liking Campbell, Juan was really impressive in his last bout, showing an extremely good jab as well as power. Diaz rocked Katz a few times with beautiful rights that were more powerful than anything I've seen before from Juan.
The rematch will be a war and I'm picking Diaz by close decision

    Add a poll mexican:)

Why is it hard to forecast? Juan Diaz got his ass beat, at his own game no less, the last time he fought Campbell.

    Damn . . . I'm torn between these 2 fighters again. I like both.

    But my sentimental favorite is . . . the Baby Bull . . . so I guess I'll be supporting him. :D

Bigreg you do the same damn **** after one of your picks gets beaten. Cotto, and Diaz are an example. They get beat then your forgone conclusion is is that because they were beaten once they could never win a rematch......How will you feel if both Diaz and Cotto win their respective rematches?? Its somewhat mindbending no?

What did Diaz do in the first fight that would lead you to believe that he could win a rematch? And when the hell did I ever pick Diaz over Campbell?

Oddly enough I make assessments based on a fighters previous performance. The differences between Diazs loss and his last victory are striking if you were paying attention....How on earth could I pick something from his loss that would convince me of a possible victory??? Very strange your logic is.....anyhow Reg you picked Diaz to win in their first fight...You going to tell me you didnt???
Aside from this you didnt see anything new from Diaz?? He seems to me to have gotten more versatile, utilizing a solid jab more, using angles more, and in general appears to be fighting much smarter
All in all I pick Diaz in a very close fight....A Campbell victory would not upset me as I like him...and wish I had something more(like a guzman fight) to judge him on
    Thanks

My logic is off? Diaz and Campbell already fought. You're predictiing what would happen in the rematch based off of what Diaz did against Katsidis instead of what happened in his fight with Campbell. Let's not forget that Katsidis is completely one dimensional and doesn't fight like Campbell. It's easy to look versatile against a guy like Katsidis. If Diaz tries to outbox Campbell, he'll run into trouble. We already know what we'll happen if he tries to fight on the inside.

So you don't think that Diaz has changed in any way since his defeat? Why would Diaz run into trouble if he utilizes his jab more?
Ultimately I don't think Diaz is as one dimensional as I previous thought, along with that I don't think he would try to stay in the pocket the entire fight as before.....In the first fight Juan was devoid of a jab and any effective body work...I think that would change in a rematch, hence making it a closer fight and even a victory for Juan

Diaz has always been a good body puncher. That aspect of his game was nullified by Campbell. Again, its' easy to out jab a face first fighter like Katsidis. Diaz actually has always had a good jab as well. He just hasn't had to use it in the past much as he was able to dominate with his inside game.

Anyhow Reg you havent answered my question yet....Do you think Diaz would do anything different to make the rematch more competitive? Or do you think he can?

The only thing he can do is hope Campbell gets old. Otherwise, he's in trouble. He gets abused on the inside, and Campbell is too crafty to get outboxed.

I think Campbell will outwork Diaz just like he did the last time to a UD but it'll be closer.
