i think diaz can bang, but i have been saying on paper paulie has the advantages....

    intelligence-paulie
    jab-paulie
    power- barely diaz
    footwork-paulie
    speed-paulie
who has had more carear fights at 140-paulie, and i do think diaz will look very fat at 140, he was kinda fat at 135.

outcome: paulie UD or close split

I think Paulie's going to box circles around him, literally. Paulie's the naturally bigger, faster fighter and if he sticks to using lateral movement and his jab, Diaz won't have an answer for it. Terrible pun, but I'll use it anyways- he's just got to play matador to the Baby Bull.

that was actually great...and diaz is not the pressure fighter of a hatton, who also has better boxing skils then diaz as well.

paulie and diaz are at about the same level... they are both B+ fighters. paulie is more skilled than diaz, together with being faster and having better movement than the baby bull. diaz is moving up to 140 so the added weight may diminish his speed, movement, stamina and punching power (which is already not that good @135). diaz only has a very slight advantage in power but paulie has a good chin.

i will have to go with malignaggi here via decision.

Malignaggi will win the fight if he's at his best. When he is at his best he is good fighter. He won title at his best, after that he never lived up to his talent.

Do you think Diaz is better than Hatton or Cotto?? No to mention is Diaz who is moving up in weight

    Paulie UD.

Now that he's done with McGirt I can really see him becoming a force at 140lbs again. It seems like he's got his love back for boxing so I fully expect to see The Magic Man that won the IBF title.

Wow I'm shocked at the genral consensus here...really thought that people would heavily favour Diaz but it seems to be very close. I'd like to see a poll on this.

Diaz wins pretty handily in my opinion!!!

The thread with the poll had Diaz at 75%, with 25% of people voting for Paulie. It should come as no surprise that Paulie's fans would be a little more vocal about who they're supporting though. :D

Maligfaggi is a joke and I hope Diaz will give him a brutal beating for 10 rounds and then see that ***** quit on his stool again. :happy

Paulie is gonna get the hell beat out of him. It's gonna be worse than the Cotto beating he took.

Malignaggi does'nt box anyone's ears off. His skills are way overated (againts elite at least) and his power is...perfectly rated.

BTW - I'm surprised HBO is willing to give Paulie another shot, after his disgraceful non-performance against Hatton.
