Juan Diaz will return on August 22 on Boxing After Dark in Houston. I admire diaz for deciding to return to boxing instead to pursuing in law studies. he is truly a warrior...

also in the same card, would be a potential showdown between robert guerrero against roman martinez

james toney would be back to face Sergei Liakhovich...that promises to be a knockout!!!

I would love to see Diaz run Valero out of the ring.

Diaz is graduating - he'll be focusing full-time on boxing from now on.

I wonder if the Marquez knockout put a dent in Diaz's chin?

wooooohooooo, that's news indeed! If the fight happens, which I hope...

honestly, I don't care which opponent Toney faces next, as long as he has a name. Toney reportedly is in good shape right now and ready to go.

But I don't think there will be a knockout here - Toney can't be knocked out, at least not by Lyakhovich, while I don't think Toney will do it either.

It all depends on in what shape they show up come fight night... Toney is on his way down, and he has been for some years now, but I firmly believe he has something left. Hearing that he's in shape makes me optimistic. Lyakhovich was at one time very promising and considered to be the up and coming HW, he's very talented, but in his last fight against Valuev he looked out of shape and lazy - it looks like he is unmotivated. But if he can get his act together he might still become a factor in the division again. We'll see...

    Anyways, the loser should retire...

Lets hope not he has a very good one and needs it to be that way if he wants to win another world title. His power cannot save him in big fights.

Lyakovtich is a TOP 15 man and the former wbo champ, his record is also respectable. Would be aa good win for Toney. However, I think that the 4 major sanctioning bodies don't rank Lyakovitch. That would explain why Lyakovitch wants Toney who has good rankings but also means that Toney won't climb many spots if he wins.

    Great news.

I hope Toney will be good enough shape in this one, because defeating Lyachovic will not be easy.

I think Ruiz should but he’s mandatory shot on the line, against winner of this one.
