Round 1

Wilson is up in Tapia's face immediately, swinging for the fences with big hooks, staying low. Very deep knee-bends and upper body dips by Wilson, in Tapia's chest. Tapia boxes tall, spiraling away from Wilson on his toes and sticking the jab. BIG wide hooks by Wilson, gunning for it with max power, grazing the neck but mostly hitting glove as Tapia backpedals. Tapia dials in an uppercut and starts peppering Wilson between the eyes with a jab and short-hop right from outside, while skipping laterally. Tapia stops and lets Wilson catch up to him, covering up. Wilson slaps at the belt line with fat hooks. Tapia waits until he's done, breaks ranks defensively and starts pumping in a 1-2, and then landing the uppercut on the floating rib with a sidestep to his left. Tapia scoring lots of jabs as Wilson just stands there, gloves at his temples.

The PBC would have you believe so, obviously, if they're giving him airtime. (he signed with Haymon this past spring and is definitely the "house" guy here, with Garrett brought in to lose unless he can make good on these bombs and tip over the apple cart)

Serious fans, though, not so much.

Round 2

Wilson is catching jabs on the pinky edge of his glove and letting Tapia outwork him while circumnavigating. Wilson patiently bides his time and tosses a body hook when he sees an opening here and there. Uppercuts mixed in by Tapia, being careful on the outside. Wilson suddenly explodes on Tapia with a series of big looping shots upstairs. Tapia rocked briefly. Wilson keeps headhunting and Tapia fights his way off the ropes with his own tumult of sweeping hooks, many hitting Wilson on his broad shoulders or biceps, some clipping his face. More pressure by Wilson. Tapia circles away throwing combos.
