He looks OK but I didn't recognize anyone on his record. Wilson's a tough guy but I think he's a bit past it now though.

    Round 3

Wilson is coming forward, with every long hook slung at Tapia's ribs getting him countered with twice as many paddling shots on either side of his face. Tapia is quickening his step and landing the uppercut as Wilson turns. Wilson is stomping on like a madman, intent on dealing out damage, just not quite reaching. Tapia scores another uppercut.

    10-9 Tapia

    29-28 Tapia

That bandana and dance during his ring introduction was as gay as a naked man sharing a bed with Elton John. :yep

He's bringing it tonight. I can't decide whether his tactics here are brilliant or moronic. :yep

I guess it'll depend on the result. If he catches Tapia again with something big and gets the KO, it was a stroke of genius. If he punches himself out, gasses and gets stopped - huge blunder.

    Round 4

Wilson is turned and kneaded with the jab in center ring. Wilson is following, reaching with hooks at the midsection, beefy arms slung in alternating turns nonstop. HUGE overhand right by Wilson, rocking Tapia into the ropes again. Tapia leans against them, covering up to block Wilson's follow-up assault. Tapia is spinning Wilson and landing the uppercut, then clamping his forearms together over Wilson's skull. Wilson bangs the body up close with flicks of his wrist as Tapia keeps his arms pushed down to deny him any leverage.

    10-9 Wilson

    38-38

If this comes down to a phonebooth fight, which it's looking like it might... Tapia's dead meat

    :good

Tapia seems to have every intention of playing it cute, but, I'm not sure he's capable of doing so for as long as he needs to. Never in his life has the kid been under pressure like this. (at least without the protection of headgear...I actually don't really know much about his amateur credentials)

    Round 5

Wilson is stalking, throwing lead upper-hooks with the left jumping in. Tapia is throwing a 1-2-3, stepping wide, resetting and covering up. Tapia lands an uppercut in mid-stride again. Big double lunging hook by Wilson chasing after Tapia. Another wild jumping left upper-hook lead from Wilson. Right uppercut by Wilson barely missing, whistling past Tapia's head, which it would have separated from his neck otherwise. Tapia lands an uppercut stepping in.

    10-9 Tapia, crazy momentum shifts

    48-47 Tapia

Not many boxing world champions with the Christian name Keith. I can only think of two off the top of my head - Thurman and Mullings. Had no idea there were Puerto Ricans named Keith either.
