Alright, so if he coasts these last two without incident and gets this, verdict on Tapia is that he finally paid his dues and earned some respect...although surviving an early scare to beat Garrett Wilson on points still doesn't exactly anoint him a co-savior of the division with Usyk or anything. :yep

Good work for this prospect as Wilson absorbs his punches like a good sparing partner.

Shabranskyy by KO, I'm pretty sure he hits harder than Jean who rocked Yunieski a few times. And I think Slava is a little better all around.

    Round 9

Tapia sticks with circling & combos, a winning formula so far. Wilson obliges him by just tramping into everything he throws, sometimes even making it easier for Tapia by lunging with a blind double jab while blinking as Tapia lands the first couple of shots in a combination, leaving himself open to some heavier stuff from Tapia, like the uppercut. Wilson grinds in close and slaps the body, not much steam on his touches. Prolonged clinching and leaning. Tapia pushes off. Wilson is walking into big shots, head getting jacked around in every direction.

    10-9 Tapia

    88-83 Tapia

Idk, he might be packing some glass if his last fight is anything to go on

This Tapia guy has pretty good combination punching

    Round 10

Wilson is tired. He shuffles in behind a high double jab but collapses on Tapia, unable to mount the surge he clearly wants to. Uppercuts by Tapia, immediately tying up whether he lands or not. Tapia playing it safe, keeping Wilson contained and trapped between his arms in close. Tapia pushes free long enough to pop off a combo and hugs Wilson's head to him tight again. Body flurries by Wilson, just able to muster weak shoeshines.

    10-9 Tapia

    98-92 Tapia

He's probably more than capable to KOing Tabiti though, as is Wilson.:!:

Tapia's not bad, its about the 3rd or 4th time I've seen him, but nothing special either.

Did he really say "don't KO me?" :rofl

Everyone on Twitter is talking about it. Damn it. This happens to be a TV on which I can't rewind. (cable's screwy...works fine in the other room, but my brother and mom are using that one)

Yes, Tapia did say that to Wilson in a joking manner.
