Maybe, if Beamon wins six of the remaining seven rounds (otherwise, mathematically, no) - and even then it'd only be a draw. He needs to sweep the rest of the way for a W.

Why is Estrada letting Beamon pitter-pat his way back into this?

Beamon wins two rounds on the spin. Amazingly, this fight would be even on my card were it not for the 2nd round.

Estrada seems to be trying to manage his gas tank for the later rounds thinking he's already got a decent lead.

    Round 6

Estrada is shelling up and letting Beamon take lead with his increasingly creative flurries. Beamon making faces at Estrada while piecing together overhand rights arcing in behind the guard with left upper-hooks on the hip. Estrada facing some uncomfortable moments now trapped in the corners, and finding that his counters are neither landing as regularly as before nor with the same mustard on them as Beamon has gotten himself into a jittery side to side, in & out rhythm once given room to do so.

    10-9 Beamon

    58-54 Estrada

    Round 7

Estrada is waiting, biding his time, loading up on single right hands and putting all his eggs in that one basket - only to miss over Beamon's left shoulder or just skim his lower jawline harmlessly time and time again. Beamon is driving him backward under chopping and tear-drop rights and heavy left hooks on the gut while snapping his knees straight from a deep bend. Estrada is put on the ropes numerous times, but is countering frantically and staggers Beamon. They swap blows furiously, Beamon landing more as he pushes Estrada into the ropes but Estrada with the cleaner heavier stuff.

    10-9 Estrada

    68-63 Estrada
