Estrada is shoving ahead, bucking Segura under the yoke with his elbow and forearms thudding onto Segura's. Jabs and rights up top by Estrada, many ducked as Segura stays low, but Estrada is suffocating Segura with activity and landing to head and body. Segura is waiting and slumping away in a submissive ball until he summons the will to come up flailing with overhand lefts and right hooks, mostly missing. Estrada keeps his jab flowing as the constant thread connecting the different tones of the fight - the sloppy brawl Segura tries making and the medium-range combo-fest Estrada prefers.

Round 7

Estrada is rocking Segura backward with the right hand. Body shots by Estrada. Segura can't stay in one fixed spot to save his life. Wild light uppercuts sprayed low by Segura, blindly. Double overhand right on the cheekbone by Estrada. Segura crosses his arms low and puts them out in shield, which Estrada ruptures by walking right through. Estrada is popping Segura on the swollen eye with jabs while staying out of reach, making Segura look foolish with errant right jabs and swirling hooks. At the bell Estrada dives in landing a right hand and does fall into a right hook face-first, but doesn't seem to mind.

I know Segura already lost his full "unstoppable" aura at the hands of Viloria - but if Estrada gets him outta there inside schedule... :lowwhistle:

Gonzalez's stock goes way up tonight, that much is for sure. (even without a stoppage)

 

Round 8

Estrada is throwing a bit of everything at Segura - jabs and straight rights up and down, left uppercuts shredding his face, etc. Segura is taking his turns every now and then, lurching in with high-inclined right jabs and windmilled lefts, but Estrada just takes disciplined steps back, letting a few shots graze him and not losing his composure when they do, just rolling with them calmly and waiting for Segura to inevitably run short on steam and then moving in swiftly to pile up points with jabs on the face and power shots with both hands.

Round 9

Estrada is covering up, forming an X with his arms as Segura batters at them feebly with both fists. Estrada throws short left hooks at the body, fending Segura off. Segura moves in and holds, then starts whipping in wide body shots once he saves up the energy to put a few together. Estrada is slipping the right jab of Segura, jerking his head back and landing long left jab counters.
