Hernan is past it but it would've been a good fight a few years ago.

Both men came in a few pounds over the limit, making this a lightweight contest.

Odd that Alacran is taking such a step down in class after his last run of 4 opponents. He's 5-0 (5) since he began the rebuilding process after his surprise TKO1 loss, 4 of those victims being good ranked fighters.

...is Rocky Bendaña a late replacement?

    Round 1

Bendaña is pumping a jab at Berchelt and stepping back. Berchelt is jumping in, firing in bursts and controlling distance. Left hooks by Bendaña dashing in. Berchelt leaps away from them and sticks a long jab in Bendaña's face.

    10-9 Berchelt

    Round 2

Bendaña is tossing wide looping body shots with both hands coming in. Berchelt is boxing tidily on the outside, all straight punches, keeping poised. Bendaña catches him with a couple of sloppy hooks running in, clapping against Berchelt's ear as he skips backward with his arms bunched up in a narrow guard protecting his chin. Bendaña is sliced with a double jab and downward-thrust right hand as Berchelt stands tall over him for a moment before circling outside again. Berchelt is using very quick lateral movement, going counterclockwise, turning and jabbing Bendaña. Berchelt is doing very smooth work on the outside.

    10-9 Berchelt

    20-18 Berchelt
