Final round, Alvarez needs a KO on my card and with the fight being in Mexico he'll need a KO.

Estrada backing up every time Alvarez throws and throws his own shots very short, good straight left from Alvarez, Estrada showing his class for a moment or two, Estrada finally seems to have woken up, Alvarez takes a few solid shots on the ropes, we finally have a fight with a minute or so left, Estrada going looking for the stoppage, 30 seconds left, Alvarez fires back. clash heads on the bell.

The clearest round of the fight. 97-93

VERY poor from Estrada. Sadly for Alvarez the fight came too early in his career.

That was nearly three in a row for the southpaw upstart (8th-10th) but El Gallo started to find him with some massive rights - and one more headbutt - in the last 45 seconds. Alvarez was hurt, and cut again.

Even if this ends up being a wide UD for Estrada, given their records, yeah - his stock drops; Alvarez's rises.

With out a doubt. I'd love to see Alvarez get some seasoning in Thailand.

I didn't expect Alvarez to last the distance. Looks like he really stepped up his game, albeit in a losing effort, against Estrada.

Negative. Only thing standing in the way is money. Both also want a piece of the Inoue-Narvaez winner.

Don't know what to say to this...

I'm an Estrada fan. I think highly of him. I didn't watch the fight and found the opinions here that he looked poor despite victory to be interesting.

I was just kidding with you, but yeah he didn't look great, I was slightly dismayed by it as well, although I only saw the last 5 rounds after Lemieux-Rosado went off.
