    Round 7

Estrada is jabbing the body and jerking himself outside, turning his shoulders inward to keep varying the look for Melindo. Stalking, Melindo jabs the air, setting up the short overhand right but missing as Estrada ducks and bounces on his toes to get past him. Light counter 1-2s by Estrada. Right hand by Melindo, forcefully pushing Estrada into the ropes despite being blocked. There is the bell, saving Estrada from being trapped in a bad spot again.

    10-9 Estrada

    67-66 Estrada

I'd have given Melindo the 6th and 7th if he landed just a couple more times in each.

(which effectively would change my card from Estrada a point up to Melindo by two; 68-65)

    Round 8

Estrada is tossing light jabs and rights while stepping gingerly around Melindo, giving himself plenty of room. Melindo charges in past a jab and hooks the body hard, lifting Estrada off the mat slightly. Melindo jabs and chops with the right, just barely off with his timing as Estrada ducks and swivels his head to make him narrowly miss. Flurry by Melindo pushing Estrada into the ropes, tattooing his chest, gloves, and face with straights.

    10-9 Melindo

    76-76

    6-2 Melindo

Melindo started to readjust to Estrada's adjustment towards the end of the round though.

Think Melindo just managed to nick the 8th with that late rush.

Huh, so you gave Estrada the 8th? (I gave it to Melindo; as Estrada's offense seemed too feeble to make up for all his running for once...and Melindo knocked the wind from him with the one body shot plus had the late explosion before the bell)

We're just not on the same page on this one. :yep

He missed Estrada just as much in the 6th and 7th, but Estrada was peppering in smoother counters from the outside in those rounds.

In the 8th it was total pit-pat from JFE, and less of it too.
