Filipinos: did the ring announcer pronounce that correctly?

    Ass-in-co?

A "k" sound for the j? Accentuation on the middle syllable?

Okay so he just ****ed up. :yep

The commentators I've noticed pronounce it with an "h" sound as is common in Spanish (and by extension, being a former colony, Filipino) surnames.

Assenjo competitive in the first round. Estrada manages to shade it with a couple more clean punches, though.

    Round 1

Estrada is circling around the smaller man, giving him a wide respectful berth, flicking left jabs at the top of his skull. Assenjo is bringing the right jab halfway out of the launch bay and then yanking it back toward his face to block. Assenjo is all coiled tension. Estrada is caught downstairs by a few southpaw 1-2s as Assenjo dashes in on bent knees, making himself a tricky low-altitude target. Estrada simply waits until he backs out and times him with a right hand, knocking him back a few steps.

    10-9 Estrada

:nod Agreed - not the wipe-out you might expect given the difference in size & quality world-level experience.
