Is it just me or does this fight make sense now? With two rough fights at Super FLW it might be time for Gonzalez to drop back down. Gonzalez will probably opt to take rematches with Rungvisai and/or Cuadras, but this would probably be the better move as far as preserving his career is concerned.

Navarrete is the best switch-hitter in the sport. Really fun to watch. He's not as athletic as Lomo but he's close.

Actually Hernandez was a candidate to face Gonzalez back in april 23 2016, however Hernandez probably won't have time for Roman as Hernandez will defend his belt against Daigo Higa and the winner of that will face the winner of Muhammad Waseem vs Oscar Cantu

Crawford is a better switch hitter

I agree. I think he's too small to be dealing with the guys at 115 though it's only 3 pounds to make the weight, the guys up there rehydrate alot more and that helps them to absorb his punches better. 112 is where he needs to be.

Honestly I think this is an excellent fight. Just a side note.. Nawaphon Kaikanha was MASSIVE compared to JHN. Fortunately he's not very good, but imagine if he was even half as talented as Rungvisai.

Yeah that dude was big compared to navarrette. I was impressed with that little dude, he's got some quickness and skills. But if he tried to get into a firefight with Chocolito that's not going to pan out well for him. Skill for skill he matches up well with choco though.

Honestly the only fights I'd like choco to stay at 115 for would be against Estrada, Cuadras, or the thai. THAT'S IT.

Yeah and that's what he'll probably do... But it won't bode well for the longevity of his career. Potentially he could rejuvenate it by moving back down after a little time off, but the money is staying at 115 and rematching Cuadreas and Rungvisai. That route will probably rob him of everything he has left though.

I don't think Gonzalez can make 115 anymore, according to Conlan, Roman looked like he was gunna pass out for his Rungvisai weigh in. If he can go down without killing himself then he should because his style is not as effective if he can't hurt his opponent.
