Who wins this one? I dont think Lopez could win a rematch with Salido.. However Lopez and the Fw titlist Gonzalez would provide some fireworks for however long it lasts... Both big punchers, vulnerable chins.. Who would you favor in this one?
Interesting fight. I gave Lopez about 70% a few months back to get to Jhonny's chin before the Mexican gets to his, but I must reconsider this watching how easily Salido was able to find clean target. Gonzalez is pretty good technically too plus he has excellent corner, so I can see Jhonny weathering the early storm, maybe taking a shot here and there, and time Lopez for the clean knockout. That being said the edge still goes to Lopez in my book, but only by just, and we don't know yet how much this stoppage took out of him. Much is decided mentally when a puncher suffers his first knockout loss. Gonzalez was able to come back. Can Lopez too?
