Hes also the reason why cuban fighters dont turn pro and the reason why many american athletes choose to go to the NFL and NBA instead of being boxers.

They are all scared of Soto.

You are realy going to reply with that? Let's try again. What has Humberto Soto accomplished at lightweight to scare off all fighters at that weight?

Katsidis is his mandatory. Marquez would have been stripped if he didn't fight him, so it wouldn't have been a unificiation. And Katsidis is a bigger name in a fight for more money. And frankly I wouldn't believe Marquez actually got an offer - when was the last time Top Rank and Golden Boy worked together on a non-major fight?

In the meantime, Soto has had the opportunity to fight the following guys over the past year or so and has chosen not to fight any of them: Brandon Rios, Urbano Antillon, Miguel Acosta, Anthony Peterson, Jorge Solis, Mario Santiago. Instead he struggled against a Colombian nobody in his last fight.

I don't know if this is a poor attempt at flame, or if you're just that misguided.

EDIT: Reading through the rest of the thread, I realize it's the former, and this probably didn't dignify a response.

You, lika many others say, that Soto does NOT deserve a fight with JMM, yet , You like many others, CONTRADICT yourselves:lol:, by saying that Soto doesn't fight the big name fighters and only fights c-level fighters????
MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!! WHAT DO YOU GUYS WANT???

    owned in his last fight?????
Soto won that fight and had that kid gasping for air, from Soto's livershots. But Soto was being a gentleman, and let the kid survive to the last round.

  6. Overstating the case soto isn't bad

Katz is a smart fight for Marquez, good name on his record with a good chance of winning.

Katsidis isn't Casamayors leftovers, that was a brutal fight MIchael was actually winning.

He already KO'd guys, brutally, in the past, and look what happened,,,,He became AVOIDED.

He KO'd Humberto Toledo, Ivan Valle, Bobby Pacquiao for THE FULL TEN COUNT, then called out the big names like Pacquiao, Marquez, Barreram and Morales, and THEY ALL DUCKED HIM.

    So, your plan/theory that:

When Soto moved to Lighweight, Valero ran to 140lbs, just like Pacman had left the 135lbs division to avoid Soto.

He scared them off, and there's no one at Lighweight righ now.

It comes down to money, and Soto isn't that good that fighters need to duck him. He hasn't even been looking good in his fights. He beats up no-hopers, and struggles with ok fighters...
