juanma does not have a plodding style, cotto and juanma having totally different styles, you need to watch them both a bit more if you think like that

Wasn't a criticism! Yes they do take chances, it's one reason i'm a huge fan of Cotto and have a growing interest in Lopez.

Early in his career Cotto did not fight the champs of the 140 division. He won a vacant title and defended it. Lopez has already knocked off 2 champions, who had 5 title defenses or better.

I'm telling everyone right now. When Arum lets Juanma out of his protected cage and puts him up against Gamboa or any boxer who's as young, decent skill, and fast he's losing. Juanma is an exciting fighter, not a great fighter. I would watch Juanma fight any day of the week, but it is what it is.

There is a reason why he's fighting guys like Concepcion (which everyone knew ahead of time Juanma was the favorite) and Rafa Marquez (although a great fighter, he's had too many wars and wearing out).

On top of that, he struggled with Mtwaga, a guy he was supposed to beat with ease.

So either, he's not that as good as it seems, or he's not training correctly which both are pretty bad.

It's really hard to gauge a fighter he gets matched fights all the time, not saying he's crap or anything, but he's not exactly jumping at the chance to take on Gamboa or Caballero.

Cotto on the other hand is the real deal. Although he's had losses he's fought them all. We know where he ranks. We know his limits. We know what he's capable of.

    JML is 5'7

Concepcion is 5'4 (I am really holding back on calling you a ****** for this one)

    Luevano is 5'7

    Deleon is 5'5

What are you Boriquas smoking? JML was never the smaller man.

well i wont hold back you're a ****** and learn some boxing before you talk.. being taller and being bigger are two different things.. and lopez is not three inches taller than concepcion either..and look at concepcion's body and tell me who's bigger.. even marquez looks a lot bigger and stronger than lopez

Let me guess Penalosa was the same size as Lopez too huh, you're a joke of a poster. We're still waiting for your 100 bigger fights than Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Lopez will knock Gamboa out, but Gamboa will not be allowed to fight him.

I agree with this. I'm not sure where Lopez's top is. I don't think Juanma's people feel the need to move him as carefully as Cotto which speaks to their confidence.

He needs to learn to slip and move. Someone like Gamboa will have a field day with him.
