Juan Manel Lopez vs. Ponce De Leon is on!

    It is being reported by Dan Rafael on the espn website. The fight will be on the undercard for Pavlik vs. Lockett (this fight is also 99% done, if it hasn't been posted yet) on June 7th or June 14th.

    De Leon was supposed to unify with Caballero, but has turned down that fight. He is now facing Jaun Manuel Lopez for the WBO belt.

    thoughts? predictions?

    Just as I thought. I mentioned it already in another thread regarding The De Leon/Caballero fight. De Leon never wanted to get a piece of Caballero again.

    JuanMa vs the De Leon is a good match up though. Don't be suprised if JuanMa outpoints De Leon to get the victory.

    :yep That's the big difference . . . experience. The first solid test for JuanMa. JuanMa is a very good technical boxer.

    Juan Manuel Lopez wins this one, even though he doesn't have the experience he has what it takes to bring down Ponce de Leon. Juanma has a lot of power.

    Juan Manuel Lopez is much more technically refined than Ponce De Leon, but that's not saying much. And he has his fair share of power, too. The only things I'm worried about are his chin, experience, and ability to deal with Ponce De Leon's workrate.

    I'm leaning toward Lopez
