I am not really too impressed with Orlando Salido, he was good last night. For sure that fight was an upset and in a rematch JML would easily win I think: take a look at there best fights and the results:

    Orlando Salido:

    Yuriourkis Gamboa L UD 12
Juan Manuel Lopez W TKO 8
    Cristobel Cruz L SD 12
    Cristobel Cruz W UD 12
Juan Manuel Marquez L UD 12

Also his record is ( 36-11-2 ). Thats good but still not that good. And some losses were to nobodies. Still a couple good wins though.

    Juan Manuel Lopez ( 30-1-0 ):

    Daniel Ponce De Leon ( 34-1-0 ) W TKO 1
    Sergio Medina ( 33-1-0 ) W TKO 1
    Rafeal Marquez ( 39-5-0 ) W RTD 8
    Cesar Figueroa ( 30-6-2 ) W KO 1
    Bernabe Concepcion ( 28-3-1) W TKO 2

And More. I think highly of De Leon and think he could beat Orlando Salido.
Juan Manuel Lopez is known for outstanding early KO's like this and could do the same in a rematch. And I think he deserves one.

Who would win the rematch? Should there be a rematch?

There is going to be a rematch.

Keep in mind that Salido turned pro as a 15 year old(common in Mexico) and many of his losses came when he was just a boy(7 losses before turning 21).

The problem for JuanMa is that Salido is mega-tough, he's probably the only fighter in the division that can actually take JuanMa's power and keep coming forward. And from there, while JuanMa is a decent boxer, he is simply not slick enough to avoid Salido's bombs over the course of a 12 round fight, and doesn't have the chin to last once Salido starts tagging him. There's always a chance for JuanMa, Salido's been in a lot of wars, and eventually his chin might not hold up as well, but the most likely outcome is a repeat of their first fight as things stand now. JuanMa would honestly have a better chance against Gamboa, because while Gamboa could certainly tag JuanMa, if JuanMa tags him, Gamboa's ability to take big shots has thus far been questionable, and certainly he's not as tough as Salido.

In terms of whether there should be a rematch or not, it was a FotY candidate, and though I doubt JuanMa has much hope, on that merit alone I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch. It's JuanMa's choice to make though. I think him electing not to pursue a rematch would be understandable, and the reverse is also true.

Lopez gets KTFO again...He took on someone who isnt smaller then him and could take his punches, that all equals disaster for JuanMa..Even the smaller, near shot one armed Rafa was giving him hell, JuanMa being the bigger, fresher fighter managed to outgun him...Salido ****s that ass uo again :deal

Gamboa would be even worse for Lopez...Gamboa has been down, but rarely has he been hurt...Gamboa's speed and power would be to much for Juanma.

Dude you got to pay attention.. In the last 10 years Salido has only lost to Prime Marquez,Gamboa and former titlist Cruz who he beat in a rematch.... You failed to mention his biggest win over RObert Guerrero.(reversed but he whupped Guerrero)..

All his other losses where when he was an inexperinced teenager,..
Dont you remember former champs or top contenders
    REgilio Tuur
    Carlos Gerena
    Lamont Pearson
    FredNeal
    Cristobal Cruz
    Rogers Mtgawa ko 5
Not to mention a controversial split decison to the then very good Alejandro Gonzalez
Now add Juana Ma and Guerrero... His wins are way better than Lopez... Marquez and Gamboa would both ko Lopez. Salido has the perfect style to beat Lopez in a rematch or a riubbermatch.. .. Hes just luck y he didnt get a prime Salido as he has slowed down a little...This was no upset to me...Check Rummys challenge i told everyone hed ko Lopez. .. Most boxing fans know better than to judge a fighter by his record...Look intoit a little and youll find that hes been good for quite a while and has been underrated for years.

Also i like Ponce Deleon and know him personally but,, He id pick Salido over him, naturally bigger stronger, and even better skills... Ponce can punch but nothing salido couldnt shake off.

Gamboa has never fought anyone with the speed or power of JuanMa in return, so yes, Gamboa could take JuanMa out, but the fact that he's been down a decent amount against lesser fighters indicates that JuanMa's power would probably be able to hurt him, unlike Salido, who can take that same power and keep coming forward. Hence JuanMa has a better chance against Gamboa. I still wouldn't favor him in the matchup, but his chances are better. It doesn't much matter though, because if JuanMa doesn't rematch Salido and beat him, the Gamboa fight won't happen for a year or two down the line, if it happens at all.

Lopez can win, but he will have to climb a bigger mountain in the rematch than in the original because mentally hes shaken

Salido in the space of 3/4 rounds demolished Juanma, took his armor off and exposed Juanma's lack of skill which are:
Head movement, he doesnt know where or how to move his head leaving him open.
Keeping his left hand up, every southpaw should make it a habit keeping that left hand high to guard against the right hand.
Footwork, very flat, due to the flatness, he cannot snap that left hand forward the way other top left handers do it, Juanma reminds me of a righty fighting left basically.

Juanma needs to learn how to move, box and not be a stationary target. At this rate, i can see Gamboa BLASTING juanma out of there

Did you also see Salido's fight this weekend? JuanMa was at ringside, and looked like he ballooned up in weight...Not a good sign...

I, as a puerto rican, do not have that much confidence that JML will regain her title. I know that rematch would be more technical and JML will do better, but IDK if he can beat Salido. Salido is no joke. I'll be rooting for JML, but not loudly lol

Salido stops JML again. Lopez has no defense and a questionable chin. Salido is a much better fighter than people give him credit for. He also tested Gamboa like no one else had.
