O.k. JML fans, now that a few days have passed, I want to ask you all a question. For those who saw the fight live, did you see the replays at home? If so, do you still think the fight was stopped too soon?

IMO, I don't. After the fourth round, Salido was teeing off on him and landing flush right hands pretty much at will. And just like Salido said in the post-fight interview, JML was slowing down a lot. This being a championship fight and scheduled for 12 rounds, it only meant that it wasn't going to go well for JML. Over the course of the next four rounds, I could only see JML getting brutally stopped and maybe seriously hurt.

The poor ref was in a real tough spot. Having to make a split second decision in stopping a fight that wasn't going to end well for JML and/or letting the fight continue and have JML get hurt. I'm sure he didn't want that in his conscience, and since he was up there and close, he could probably see better than any of us how much punishment JML was receiving.

In the end, I still say the ref made a good stoppage and unfortunately a few bozos in the crowd let their emotions get the better of them by littering the ring and risking injury to JML and Salido.
