So i read on a site that WBO SBW Chamiom J-M Lopez is gonna fight Olivier Lontchi from Montreal on june 27th.

Lontchi (18-0-2 8 KOs) is a good technical fighter who has great bodyshots and i believe he could've beaten Bernard Dunne if he had waited ( he is ranked No 3 by the WBA) but i don't think he can beat a beast like Lopez.

Lopez should KO him arround the 8th and im optimistic.

why would Lontchi take this fight?

Spectaculaire d'être mis KO au premier round? J'espère que non!

Carl Moretti better be right since I do not foresee this lasting too long. If he lasts as long as Penalosa did then I would already consider it a victory.

Howard Grant already said that Lontchi always stepin up when the challenge his there!
he spared with much bigger guy (Ngoudjo,Dierry Jean ) and he still competitive!

But we talking here of a fight against Juan Manuel Lopez i hope Lontchi learn from this fight and give a good opposition . I will definitly root for Lontchi but i will be glad he's been beaten by an awesome fighter as Lopez!

Who is this guy and what significance does he have to be in a fight with Lopez?

Ive never heard of the guy, but he has an undefeated record, always a good thing for a resume.

Im sure JML will decapitate him, but he could give him a scrap for a few rounds.

I wouldnt say that Lopez has reached the level yet where every fight has to be "significant"

JuanMa's people have to get their act together and get some better fights for him.

He took a huge leap forward after his victory over De Leon but has had some crappy opposition since.

He should take a page out of Pac's career and ask for nothing but the toughest fights he can get, he has the potential to be great!

Like Quik said, he should wait for Caballero to leave his belt (coming soon) and fight Bernard Dunne, a fight that he has more chances of winning.

Sorry for the french quote but I can't retain myself...

Not a smart move by GYM... Interbox blow it with Gaudet/Soto and now another good, but unexperienced fighter from Quebec will be decapitated... sad
