I would say Lopez, with a flash knockout around the middle rounds.

Very tough call. Lopez is more experienced as a pro, and has the by far most impressive win(Ponce de Leon). But 7 pounds is alot at those small weights - and Gamboa is a true killer...

If Lopez can take whatever Gamboa throws - he wins on pts.

Lopez By KO after taking him to school for a few rounds. Don't be fool. Gamboa is a strong SOB. But he is not going to improve in his boxing skills. This guy has a lot more experience than his record suggest. When you are an "AMATEUR" boxer in Cuba. Thats what you do for a living. Period. This guy has thousands of rounds under his belt. His only chance might be he is heavier than Lopez. Juanma has the edge on everything else. Ask Ponce De Leon

Amateur boxing and Pro are two different things - including opponents. So of course he will improve and learn from mistakes...

I can see the fight going either way. I like the guy with the faster hands though. That's why I like Gamboa in this match up.

Two different things. You are right. But you can't teach new tricks to an old dog. It happens to many of those Cuban prospects. They spend too many years as amateurs. He could be different. But we will have to wait until he face better opposition to see
