Juan Manuel Lopez Vs Gerry Peñalosa on April 24, 2009

If JuanMa isnt careful and gets too cocky he will get stopped. Penalosa is sneaky with fast hands and good power and technique. I cant prove it, but i think JuanMa is chinny.

 

if the judges are the same with the de leon-penalosa match, then gerry has no shot at winning a decision. still, i think lopez will win a close but clear ud. gerry has a problem of letting his hands go but he'll have his moments in this match. i hope he catches him with the same body shot he ko'd gonzales with

I think this will go 12 rounds. No sure who wins.

 

NO..are YOU serious??!?! Lopez prolly has a chance to KO Gerry, thats because gerry is way past his prime already, but in no way can he make gerry look like an amateur. too experienced, too slick and a great chin.:good

 

Garry is solid but IMO LOpez has true KO power just because a man has never been KO'd doesn't mean it can't happen. Deleon was never Ko'd untill lopez got to him. Lopez will gett the Ko but it won't be the 1rd ko i say in about the 5th round.

thing is Penolosa is a solid fighter but Juanma will beat him down.

 

especially if against an old timer, but yeah its possible. But Gerry's ability to dodge punches is miles ahead against any opponent Lopez has faced. Gerry may well be the first tactician he's faced.

Agreed.Gerry has good power,a great chin and good skills. JuanMa's chin hasn't been tested and Gerrys going to treat him like a crash dummy. Gerry by UD or late KO

i've always rooted for my man gerry, and it's going to be the same here, though i also like juan ma. gerry is old and undersized, but i hope he pulls it out. what an amazing achievement this would be for him at this point of his career. even if he were to lose, i hope he makes it a hard won fight for juan ma.
