Jesus, not another person crying of a 'robbery' in a fight. It was a competitive fight and Lopez won, IMO. Mtagwa gave a good account of himself and made the fight close, but he wasn't robbed. Gutted we won't see a rematch next, though.

Who won? Come on. Pierre Benoist scored it 120-108 for Guzman AND Williams. It's weird, because neither of them were in the fight and it'd be mathematically impossible anyway.

    Lopez wom it clearly.

Just because he had a stron ending doesn't mean Mtagwa won.

He hurt lopez pretty good, but that didn't mean he won the fight. Did every punch that hurt lopez, took all the rounds he won away? lol.

Did Mtagwa really have a STRONG ending...or did a 5 Time Puerto Rican Amatuer Champion, a former Olympian and an Undefeated Title Holder in Juamna...JUST LOOKED PLAIN AWFUL!!!!

Juanma showed that he has NO COMPOSURE NOR DISCIPLINE to allow himself to be suckered into a Back-Alley Brawl with a Journeyman fighter.

If he fights like this against Steven Luevano...ITS OVER!!!!

It wasn't a robbery, because it was a very close fight, but I do think Mtagwa won.

Yes he did.His stamina was weakened by making the weight limit at 122 so therfore the weak ending.

Juanma's discipline and boxing skills are overrated to me anyway but even still he was winning the brawl threw 10 rather easily altough Mtagwa was landing plenty.
Mtagwa's record is deceving,he's a better fighter than his record, certainly no journeyman.
I don't think much of Lopez, never did but movingup tp 126 will help him and Luevano will give him trouble stylistically but I think Lopez will win.

Then there should be NO fights at 122lbs. There are too many Top Shelf fighters at 126-130lbs that have been waiting for Juanma for 2 years. I am still trying to understand the point of fightng a 200yr old Gery Penalosa or a 26-12 Mtagwa.

And for the record...The Pefect description of Journeyman fighter is ROGERS MTAGWA!!!! Lost 5 of his frist 15 fights. Has 4 losses and a NO CONTEST in his last 11 fights. JOURNEYMAN.

And I distinctly remember watching that fight (Juanma-Mtagwa) and thinking..."WOW, HE LOOKS AWFUL!"

By round 4, both fighting were just simply throwing punches with NO Technique, NO Skillful foot-work, No Jabs, No Combinations...I can understand that coming from Mtagwa (because that's his style) but a Highly Advanced Fighter with a STRONG Amateur pedigree like Juanma is Just Plain in-excusable...It looked like Prison-yard Toughman contest.

Yet, Juanma fans honestly believes he is still better than and can still beat the Gamboa.

First of all, I have seen Gamboa get hit and floored, but I have never seen Gamboa Look AWFUL in the ring. Gamboa makes mistakes...But Who doesen't.

The Only Top fighter I believe Juanma can beat is Caballero. IMO, Caballero is HIGHLY overrated. But John, Vasquez, Marquez, Elio Rojas, Abe Concepcion and Gamboa will beat Juanma EASY!!!!

I see Luevano winning this fight easy!!! But I do hope Juanma gives a MUCH BETTER EFFORT!!!

Lopez, pretty clearly imo. I thought he caught him with the cleaner, harder shots throughout.

Harder????? DId you really see the fight?

You can argue that he clearly won, he threw more punches, etc. But there is no question as to who received the hardest (by far) punches of the night, it was JuanMa.

It's easy to discredit records.Truth is many fights that should happen don't or happen later than they should.
What was the point of Caballero fighting Leal?Or Gamboa Garcia? They were decnt fights that were made to build up others.
Mtagwa has a journeyman record but he's no journeyman. He doesn't fight like one.Journeymen fold under pressure prett yeasy and stop trying to win. That's what makes them journeymen.
Mtagwa is always there in your face trying to win even though he is limited.Look at the Tomas Villa fight.Besides some of those losses are when he was fighting at an incredible rate.He once fought in Tanzania, won, and then fought again 4 days later in Kenya. You can imagine traveling from a country to another in 4 days while keeping focused and recuperating from the previous fight is almost impossible.
How is Lopez a highly advanced fighter? He's more of a brawler than a boxer anyway and his defensiv leaks are easy t osee even before the Mtagwa fight.
About the resot of the fights hopefullt we will see them happening but to say Luevano will easily beat him is wrong.Maybe he will win but it won't be easy.
