Damn I didn't like what I saw of Salido underestimating that fighter and almost getting stopped, but it was admirable how he came back and knocked him out. Showed what he is capable of. Juanma is used to overpowering and being the pressure fighter. That wont happen with Salido. Juanma still opens up way too much. I think there will be knockdowns from both sides this time. Siri might be slowin abit. Lopez still in his prime. Not sure who to pick.

Juanma said he has worked a lot with weights so maybe he'll be stronger and he'll need to be because of his style of fighting plus salido over powered him last time.

First match was great. I was glad but am now "eh" on the Salido win because I hate them both; Juanma for a lot of things, Salido because of PED's.

I do think Juanma pulls it off this time. I'm thinking a stoppage. Somehow if the exact same Salido shows up, I'm not actually sure what Juanma can change to win...

The pressure is all on juanma...he went from being a p4p status fighter to nothing in a quick way. He needs to win convincingly against Salido if he wants his career back, or to at least set himself up for a good payday against Gamboa who is pretty much roaming aimlessly lately.

You have to remember Salido himself is a limited fighter. Maybe he didn't underestimate him and was exposed?

I expect JuanMa to use lots of movement in this fight.

"Exposed" would be too harsh a word and implies he's got nothing to offer himself. He has decent fundamentals and has had some really good overlooked performances in his career. He's at the end of it though, and that may be a factor, along with maybe underestimating his opponent with his sights on a Lopez rematch, and it's possible his opponent came to fight and caught him good.

I know a high percentage of people are picking Salido to do the job again, I think JML will put on a great performance and beat him convincingly

God DAMN finally some good news for once. Salido/Juanma was my second favorite fight of the year last year. Glad to see it looks like it's happening again.

Siri down late in the third from a wild left hook, and at the very start of the fourth from a 3-2 with most of the damage done again by the hook. There was really little more than the minute break between rounds separating the two knockdowns. Maybe thirty five seconds of actual game clock. Rough patch.

If Salido can be dribbled like a basketball with telegraphed hooks from this middling pinoy journeyman, the door is wide open for him to be KTFO by a vengeful Lopez.

Then again, Lopez's proclivity toward brain farts and bad stamina could see him stumbling into the same snare to the frustrated dismay of his fans.

It is also worth noting, Salido knows full well that he got knocked down twice against Haya. He knows about Lopez's power from firsthand experience as well. He is smart enough to put two and two together. He will know that he is vulnerable here and can't assume that he has too big a psychological edge to allow him to boss JuanMa around at will. Expect some craft and guile from him - maybe sacrificing early rounds to drag it to deep water.

    Pretty interesting.

Really looking forward to this. One of those bouts that can't not deliver. We either get a repeat of the first bout, or we get a Cotto-Margarito II type bout...which was entertaining also.

Salido's last bout makes it interesting. Lopez will no doubt be more focused.

Say what you want about Lopez's chin, you can't question the guys heart. Many would have stayed down from the vicious knockdown (I forget which round) against him.

I thought the first fight should've been stopped sooner but props to both guys for fighting with heart and giving fans what they want to see. Lopez can take this one and I hear Salido didn't look so good in his last bout but either man can win. I expect Lopez to try to box more since he couldn't run over Salido like he did fighters before him. He could be stronger this time around but not sure he overpowers Salido and walks through him like spinning doors. Great fight.
