    what a night

I mean Rubio stops Lemiuex and then Salido stops Lopez

this is what happens when you over look tough guys who paid their dues to get where they got

HMM maybe now Lopez can finally fight Caballero

just because Gamboa won vs Salido didnt mean Lopez had a walk in the park

So glad to hear and NEW for the 2nd time tonight

great when things dont go according to plan and the boxing world gets shook up a little

Unless someone leaves on a stretcher, it's an early stoppage. Duh.

    :good

You had one guy getting hit with the kitchen sink and another guy returning...but not returning with anything solid and unable to defend himself. I kind of see myself siding with IB but I think because the referee had missed that chance to stop it and Juanma had started to return he should have let it go on.

    Very de la Hoya-Quarteyish.

Lopez's defense is non-existent. Not just in this fight. Everything Salido threw snapped Juanma's head. This is the best thing that could have happened to Juanma. I think he will improve and become a better fighter.

Maybe yeah but still he was throwing back at least give him a chance, I understand he might of been stopped a little later but he should of had a chance.

And? Even when Lopez was hurt, He was still throwing punches. Not one time in that 7th round when Salido hurt Lopez that Lopez didn't stop throwing punches. When a fighter was still throwing punches, no refs should stop the fight. It was a bs stoppage. Would Lopez be ko later on if it wasn't a bs stoppage? Likely but still it's no excuse to have a bs stoppage.

    Salido and Mtagwa both do.

The evidence is pretty overwhelming. Short of the two going h2h it couldn't be any more decisive in Gamboa's favor.

No drug testing this is what happens.

Salido tested positive for the steroid; result changed to ND per NSAC 467.850(6)

    DOES MAYWEATHER HAVE A POINT??????

I would love to see a rematch with a different ref of course. Great fight and reminded me of Segura-Calderon or Margarito-Cotto as the more durable, pressure fighter is just too much for the vulnerable champ. JML couldn't keep Salido off him and was taking too many flush punches. BS stoppage or not it was a great fight and a great night of boxing, lets not forget that.
