No, apparently Bisbal had a point deducted. For what? Throwing Herring to the canvas? Somebody went down there somehow, I'm sure of it...

Lag, lag, lag.

Herring is flurrying his way inside and actually landing lots of body shots. Bisbal is the one holding now. Herring is pulling him down behind the neck and flipping his gloves up into Bisbal's chest. Herring circles close and pops jabs out of a southpaw stance before switching back.

10-8 Herring I guess.

 

Round 6

Bisbal is bossing with his jab. Herring is just running. Bisbal is doing a poor job cutting the ring off, and is lobbing out soft body shots when he does get Herring cornered. Bisbal is looking like the Boricua Valuev. Herring is looking like a giant Ishe Smith (minus the killer instinct). This fight is really awful. Left hook by Bisbal while pulling back, just brushes Herring's face harmlessly. Herring gets inside and wrestles the bigger man.

Ugh.

 

Round 7

Bisbal throws his slow jab, and drops a few even slower right crosses behind it. Herring actually looks bored, and turns his back to Bisbal and rolls his eyes while walking away from him. Even Herring knows how much this sucks. Herring is just flurrying in the clinches he's creating, and keeping outside of Bisbal's range on the outside. Bisbal tries to dig uppercuts but winds up looking like a spasmodic T Rex. This is pitiful.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaag.

 

Round 8

Bisbal has his glove re-taped. Herring is popping jabs to the body. The commentators are saying that there should have been a point deduction for a headbutt by one of them. Whatever, didn't see it and don't care. Herring is down. Why is he down?

LAG!!!

Was it a legal punch or a low blow?

I can't even tell if there was a count given.

Herring is mad, in any case. He swarms Bisbal and throws upward hooking shots with both hands.

LAG!!!

Bisbal lands a 1-2. Herring gets him tied up. Herring sticks his jab in his face and leaps into another clinch, slapping him in the head with little wrist-flicks while his arm is held behind Bisbal's neck. They are both tired and look very bored. They trade for the last few seconds until the final bell, though.

They get BOOED.
