Ugas vs. Garcia


Round 1

Ugas is backing Garcia up and throwing good low/high combos, leading with left hooks to the body and throwing hard overhand rights. Garcia is tying up and both get warned by the ref for holding and rough housing.

10-9 Ugas

 

Round 2

Ugas thrusts his jab high into Garcia's face, and backs him up with his guard held up high. Garcia hooks with both hands, trying to curl around the gloves of Ugas. Garcia down on his butt off a hard straight counter! Ugas is primed for the finish, but Garcia is game as they trade reaching power shots from mid-range. Garcia leans in and holds on after being backed to the ropes. Ugas lands a nice 1-2 as Garcia is backing up. Good quick combos by Ugas, bashing through Garcia's guard. Garcia is holding his left stick out, trying to hold Ugas still to land right uppercuts but not getting them through.

Round 3

Garcia reaches with some long right hands, which Ugas easily steps and rolls away from. Ugas is taking long strides while jabbing his way in, blocking Garcia's own counter jabs effectively. Ugas opens up on him against the ropes and makes Garcia shrink into a shell. Good rights to the body by Ugas. Now Garcia is stung by a left hook and rallying back, trying to punch along with Ugas. Several Garcia jabs are blocked. Ugas reaches out and touches Garcia between the eyes with his own jab.

Round 4

Ugas is chasing Garcia around landing nice rights to the body and straight piston combos upstairs. Garcia is trying his best to defend, and pokes out his own 1-2 as Ugas lets him come forward a bit. Ugas is just coasting behind his jab from long range now. He shoves Garcia into the ropes and keeps tagging him with long jabs, and grins at him when the bell rings.

Round 5

Garcia is leading with his jab, pushing Ugas back a bit and flurrying down by his elbows. Both boxers are now nodding and grinning to each other, either in mutual respect or because they had agreed beforehand to treat this like an exhibition/sparring match and not try to knock each other out. Ugas just wades inside with his arms wrapped around his head and pops out short jabs and right hands. Garcia is down, slip. Ugas stays on him, hammering away until Garcia leans in and grabs him. Garcia now backs out of the way of Ugas' jab and lures him into a corner, where Ugas tees off a little. Garcia keeps circling out wide, and comes forward with a 1-2. Sweeping left hook by Garcia misses.
