Same old thing, JMM says that Pacquiao is a hard puncher with a lot of handspeed out of the combination and on the move, circling, stepping in and out, and Margarito has the physical advantage if he uses straight shots and short hooks as Pac comes in running into shots. However, JMM refers that Pacquiao has that combination of handspeed and power that Margo never has seen before and that Tony is a very mechanical puncher. Both interviewer and JMM expect Margo's power to be a factor for their countryman.
:yep also some of you guys need to chill the **** out. This is the internet, its not the U.S. Mexico represents a massive portion of boxings fanbase and as such, there will be plenty here who can understand it. Especially given the fact that one of the fighters in the fight being analyzed is Mexican, and it's just ridiculous. I can't understand it either, but thankfully people have explained marquez's insight. When you take into consideration Marquez was one of the most successful in fighting Pacman the question to me is why not post it?
Seriously..i mean id imagine some of these guys would prefer to hear someone like say ohh Ricky Hatton, since he does talk in english...Oh what analysis could Mr Hatton give us??? "Right hook roll under, Right hook roll under...Same move everytime!"
Was anxious to hear it, but got no sound at all, let alone Spanish, when I clicked on the link. Surprised to see JMM looking so powerful in street clothes. Used to seeing him reed thin -- almost delicate -- at press conferences.
Same here, and for that earlier comment all bilingual people should refuse to translate this. Edit: Sucks, page 3. It would have been funny
If Margarito's plan is to go on the chase for Pacquiao, he'd going to find it hard to catch up to Pacquiao..... One of the things that Nacho Beristein was always emphasizing to both Marquez and DLH when they were preparing for Pacquiao was "vivo".......which means to be alive to be alert.....the key for Margarito is to be "vivo" ........this is when natural abilities take over and a fighter has to be very instinctive to know when the aggression is going to advance toward him so that in this circumstance, Pacquiao can get times coming in. ........certainly Margarito is'nt going to be able to execute to catch Pacquiao coming in like Marquez did.......but imo if Margarito is'nt phased too much when Pacquiao lands his staight left, he can do damage to Pacquiao by punching over Pacquiao's shots, even if it means taking two and three shots to land his one. Punch when Pacquiao is punching will be the key, and Margarito with his good chin strikes me as an individual who will be able to do that vs Pacquiao as he's done it numerous times vs other fighters........you look at the fighters Pacquiao has beaten recently, and none of them really let their hands fly when the other is throwing at them.....so thats going to be something a little different that Pacquiao might see against Margarito. Vivo, vivo......be aware, be alert to strike as he's striking, imo thats the key for Margarito, and JMM alluded to it and insinuated as much.
Marquez did look like he had a few good meals in him. Good for him, as he's going to have to watch what he eats now that he's in training camp for Katsidis.
