Juan's an interesting character. Outside the boxing ring, his main personality traits seem to be crying, bitching, feeling underappreciated, and filling up his garage with expensive cars. Canelo's clearly Juan's main rival for best Mexican fighter today, and also for highest earning, so I guess we should understand why Canelo brings out Juan's bitchy side.
"Marcando los golpes" I think Marquez is saying that Angulo let a chance of a lifetime go by just watching Canelo's punches and not doing anything to counteract Canelo's aggressiveness. Marquez is'nt criticizing Canelo here, he's criticizing Angulo for not bringing the "dog" out in himself. You know what? Marquez is right. Most of us here would have said beforehand this fight would have been a fight of the year candidate if Canelo showed up to throwdown. Canelo did, but "el Perro" for the most part went through the motions and did'nt let his punches go with the authority he normally does. "Subio el ring solo a marcar los golpes" I believe may translates to he climbed the ring just to watch and not to fight.
Oh, you mean whiter than the indigenous folks, I thought you meant whiter than hispanics. So is this all that JMM said? Why do you say that, when has JMM cried and bitched before (not saying he hasn't, just asking).
jmm means angulo just wants to score points like in the amateurs. there is no intention on his mind to throw power punches to hurt and win. he threw his career built for a long time in exchange for some money that will be spent for a short time.
