Jmm had always been immensely jealous of canelo. Canelo became the real Golden boy right off where Jmm had to prove himself every fight and he finally became the greatest modern Mexican but canelo took that status with ease

Uh, where are you cutting off modern? Chava Sánchez >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> JC Superstar.

(roughly the same proportion of >'s as JMM over Canelo)

How is he wrong? His scorecard is 115-113 Jacobs but he did say it "could go either way". So you mean Canelo absolutely won this by at least 116-112?

Are the Mexican gingers as hated as the African albinos? Poor albino doesn't stand a chance. Supposedly they are believed to be evil, so they are getting murdered.

And depends on how this guy was rating people. If you view it as which modern Mexican stacks up H2H against a field of ATGs in or around their weight class. Then you would probably have to say it would be Morales. A guy who defeated two ATGs in their prime.

I had it even wider than 116-112, simply because I don't change my scoring criteria from one round to the next.

When a fight is competitive as was Canelo-Jacobs, it comes down to me on who's being the more effective with his punches and it was clear to me that Canelo on a round by round basis was landing harder, crisper, harder shots.
But then even if you want to go the ring generalship route, Canelo was controlling the landscape there as well.

Want to take it to who was better defensively? Another check for Canelo.

The only aspect to check for Jacobs is that he may have been a little busier in some of the rounds, but what good is that if he's not landing much more than Canelo when Canelo's connects are being more effective because their landing much crisper.

Jacobs was having trouble landing the jab for God's sake, Canelo's defense in this fight was that good.

I just don't see where anyone can even give 5 rounds to Jacobs. I think you'd have to give every close round to him and I just cant do that and give the round away to the fighter moving backwards and landing less effectively.

Pay close attention when Jacobs would flurry in a lot of those middle rounds, they were more slaps than punches.

I mean, I don't think scoring them for Canelo is ridiculous or anything. @CST80 and I both annotated the championship rounds as both having been "close" when submitting our scores for them...but the fact is, Jacobs can be said to have shaded them (as I saw it), depending on what you like, and I haven't seen anyone here yet claim that either the 11th or 12th were ironclad for either fighter..

There hasn't been a Mexican greater than Chava since Chava.

...which, coming from the biggest MAB fan in the history of this board (with the possible exception of @Addie) is a big statement.
