Dont know what axe Marquez has to grind with Lopez or his camp, but he just is'nt being honest.
I saw his interview where points to having scored for Loma. Gives Loma low marks but somehow at the end say's he scored it 116-112 for Loma without explaining himself how he came to that conclusion.
Everybody that knows me in this forum knows I'm one of his biggest supporters, but the truth here is that he's being blatantly dishonest when he comes out with his score for this fight.
If you gave every competitive enough round to Loma, the highest score you could wind up with is a draw.

Finding 8 rounds to give Loma is outright dishonest.
Marquez did the same in the second Canelo-GGG fight, he gave rounds to GGG late in the fight that even GGG's own fanboys did'nt give him. He could never explain those off when asked about them on his commentating shows.

Marquez did not have Canelo beating GGG, he rearranged his scorecard at the end of the second fight as to reflect a draw or a win for GGG. I dont remember if he had the second fight a draw or win for GGG, but he most definitely did not score it for Canelo.

He also had himself beating Bradley too . I thought Barrera beat him as well.

First time I've seen a fighter being credited with rounds where all he did was stand in there and try to avoid his opponent's attacks.

I think the take away form this should be: boxers scores of a fight shouldn't be placed on some f'n pedestal as if their score means everything, simply because they are boxers, they are expert at scoring. We've all seen plenty of crap scores from boxers. They are fans of some, and haters of others as well.

I know a lot of posters use what a boxer scores when it suits them...but FFS, they aren't judges...

I believe Teo won. But you are 100% correct about this. Most posters here have the emotional capacity of a 10yo struggling with the idea there is no Santa. So many here see a fighter get more praise then their favorite, so they hate on him. They see other posters say XXX would beat their fave, so they hate the fighter. I've said this a million times, TOO many here pick sides. Seems unfathomable to some that one can be a fan of several fighters in the same weight class, even if the fighters don't like one another.

Loma won his rounds more "dominant" than Lopez won his round.

    That said; Lopez 7-5.

A rematch needs to happen. The Loma fight is still the biggest money fight out there for Lopez.

Can Lopez get up for it again? He did 2 years of mental gymanstics working himself up to win this fight...and it was still close.

Can Loma start quicker and finish stronger?

Is this Lopez' ceiling? Has he peaked?

We know where Lomachenko's ceiling is.....
