Great performance by Marquez, Casa put up a very good effort but in the end just got caught (I had it 6-4 JMM going into the 11th). Up untill that point It was a great fight, some people may think it was boring but I found it a very entertaining technical matchup. He just took his time and waited untill the opening came, eventually he got Casa to make an error and then unloaded everything. Very few people predicted Marquez would win by stoppage, he proved he has the power and the finishing ability to threaten anyone at lightweight. Both fighters should be proud.:good

I'm extremely happy for Marquez and I'm not trying to take absolutely anything away from the win. Just trying to calm the Guzman hate down a little bit here. JMM is obviously a greater fighter until Guzman proves otherwise. All I said is that there was more solid proof in this fight that Guzman should be favored against him. Probably shouldn't have been said though. This is JMM's night and **** everything else. Go Marquez!

 

Marquez dominated the fight, he has to fight Manny. The first 2 fights were close one more to break the tie

 

I know Casamayor is old but easy opponent?, no way.

 

Havent been on for a while, but then come back to this rubbish. Let's just wait and see if guzman is ever gonna be willing to step into the ring against a quality opponent again after todays farce.

 

And in a chess-match, age is not nearly as important, especially when Casa is the larger fighter better suited for the weight. This was a very risky fight for JMM. The complete opposite of what Pac did, going up to 135 to face a very easy, non-risky opponent in David Diaz.

 

Yes he is a bad man. The most technically precise fighter in the game today. He throws combos that are textbook.

 

Maybe....Who knows?.....Difficult fight to predict.

Campbell's bigger and hits harder, but Marquez is the better boxer and has the technical skills and power to cause Campbell a lot of problems.

 

Great win for Marquez but remember he got tag a lot by a left hook of a shot Casa.. It wasnt a dominating performance by Marquez.. Now i think he is going to school another overrated fighter in Diaz and everybody will be saying Marquez is the best 135 fighter.. But not me.

 

Best lightweight? Are u on crack? Casa should have lost his last 2 fights. It was a solid win over a faded champ waaaay past his expiration date. Pac would've taken care of business in under 6 rounds with this 38 year old.

 

Bien hecho, Marquez. Me and all the mexicans were on our feet both times Casamayshitalker hit the canvas. The place got loud real ****in' quick. I was one of maybe 50 white cats in the entire place or so it seemed. Mexican fans are def. the best to see a fight with. They rilly get into it. That's cool.
