I agree that he would give most if not all Featherweights a tough fight, but so would Barry McGuigan.
If that were a real quote it would say "JMM beat Pacquiao on my card, and he is an ATG depending on whether or not you have a specific number he needs to be and what that number is." Why? Because I have a sophisticated thought process that doesn't allow for Addie-style simplicity and yearns for direct definitions for clarity. Holla!
Beating and knocking out young and strong contenders, beating current and former world champions, being the most incredible combination puncher and the last guy to take manny pacquiao out of his game. Being the oldest man to hold a lightweight crown. Compared to what Pacquiao has done lately, he´s pure Greatness, truly ATG. JMM :bbb
It's because he's irrelevant on the world stage, and pretty much always has been. I haven't had practice spelling his name. Either way, poor form to even bring that up as an argument, Boxed Ears. Desperation isn't your style.
Compare them even with Pacquiao in the picture and Marquez is still bringing up the rear. There seems to be a misconception. JMM earned himself a draw.
Technically, you brought up the name of this silver medalist Olympian with a spelling error and I simply corrected you on your very poor education.
People have gotten a bit carried away of late with Marquez outings because they are so aesthetically pleasing, epitome of fan favourite type performances. In reality he has struggled with not so great opposition, though he is on the slide and its not exactly surprising.
Marquez would give pep, saddler, sanchez, zarate all sorts of problems and would probably pick up a few wins there. McGuigan would be very competitive would would end up losing.
:happy Thank you! How many fighters overcome clear physical disadvantages and find ways to win fights with sheer boxing skill? Give the guy some credit, and he is still going strong at 37! What are Barrera and Morales gonna look like at 37?
