Right. Even though all your points were shot down and even you unwittingly admitted being wrong?

Not like I am alone smashing you on the other thread. :thumbsup

    8 pages??? Jeez.

If Marquez is overrated then f-knows what you have to do to be 'rated'. Take a fight with Wlad ?

Holy ****. I've explained this like several times, but I'll do it again for the unfortunate Arsenal supporter.

Just because a certain fighter is considered overrated by a particular individual does not mean that they do not rate them. They might even rate them highly, just not as highly as the consensus, hence why they consider the fighter "overrated". :thumbsup

Marquez is rated as one of the great mexicans from his era.. he is universally recognized as one of the top P4P boxers in the world now.

No-one is saying he's Ray Robinson.

And winona ryder is f-in average

Marquez, based on the recent poll in the General Forum, is widely regarded as the greatest mexican from this era. That is what I struggle to digest.

She's infinitely more attractive, talented, and desirable than any girl you could ever hope to attain, with or without the aid of money. :good

Have you ever thought might be because he's the guy still near his peak and therefore fresh in the memory. You'll always be able to pick bones between all 3 of them.. they are 3 great boxers.. end of.

Wrong. Ive slept with infinitely fitter chicks than this pasty, skinny 'wannabe different' waste of time.

Boxing fans are fickle by nature, but stupidity should still be addressed.

    ...Like this, for example. :tired

That 'wannabe different" waste of time is not only, as I say, infinitely more attractive and talented than any broad you could hope to attain, but she's also a two-time Oscar nominee, and a Golden Globe winning actress. She currently has two high profile movies circulating in cinema's around the globe. She's universally recognized, and widely considered to be one of the most talented actresses of her generation. How is she a waste of time? She isn't sitting on her ass at home circulating an Internet forum. That would be us.

He might be a little overrated now, because he's almost 40 and a little bloated. But in his prime he's underrated if anything

The thread title is 'Juan Manuel is Overrated'.. that is where the height of stupidity on this thread was reached.

I prefer my women not to be shoplifters... call me old fashioned hey ?

And yet you've made multiple non-memorable contributions to this highly stupid thread? I would argue that it is you who is a complete and utter waste of time if you don't have anything better to do with your time than dwell on threads that you don't think should be taken seriously.

What have you got to say about it? You've not really explained why you think calling Marquez "overrated" is blasphemy? Practically every fighter under the sun has been accused of it at one point or another, what makes Marquez so infallible? What makes Dinamita so impervious to criticism?

Old-fashioned in addition to ignorant, perhaps.

I like the way people can't grasp the fact that a fighter can be both very good and overrated.

I fail to see how a 3 division 8 tile winning world champ is overrated when no-one is really actually saying he's the no.1 P4P fighter around or the greatest featherweight of all-time. He's rated by everyone as a great mexican and one of the best around now with a very entertaining fan friendly style. Of course he's not above critique.. no fighter is.. but out of all the current world champs out there he's pretty much one of the hardest to chirp away at about his record or style.

I'm not ignorant of the FACT she's a convicted felon. And I doubt nor are the local Los Angeles authorities and various shopping malls.

You think that JMM's record is hard to "chirp" at? Interesting. I've already explained where I stand, and why I consider Marquez to be an overrated fighter at this point in his career, and I think it's validated. I rate the Mexican fairly highly, but not as highly as the consensus, and this consensus was met not to long ago in the thread that I've referenced over and over again. He was singled out as the Greatest Mexican of his generation, and that is too high praise for my liking, and if there is any aspect to his career which I would point at to contradict that consensus it would in fact be his record, and more specifically, his lacking win column.

Although you've only brought it up out of desperation, what does Noni's trial have to do with how aesthetically pleasing her face is? I'm confused. Is her being convicted for theft your reasoning for calling her a waste of time? Should it not be considered nothing but a spoke in the wheel? She hasn't once been in trouble with the law since coming out of that controversy, and she was experiencing well documented problems with anxiety and depression at the time. She's a waste of time because she's human, and not unmoved by the pressures of Hollywood? Thanks for clearing that up. :thumbsup
