Juan Manuel Marquez-Marco Antonio Barrera: Why doesn't it get talked about?

I think everyone is aware of that fact. Is that somehow directed at me?

 

this was a great fight. one of the better of 2007.. WHich was the best year in my lifetime anyway. I thought JMM won decisive, despite Ledderman's scorecard.

This fight was a classic example of the problems I have scoring a fight when a particular favourite is involved.Even though Marquez is my favourite (properly) active fighter,Barrera is my all time #2 and I had him winning this fight first viewing.I watched it again and it was nothing like my first scorecard.For me,Marquez did enough to edge it.
My scorecards can often be wildly off the mark when a favourite is involved.
And yes,it was a superb fight but I think a prime Barrera would have enough to beat a prime Marquez although it would not be emphatic.

 

It's kinda sad that even if Barrera was credit the KD and was not deducted a point, he still would've lost. The judges were horrible in scoring that fight.

 

He also argued that plaster doesn't improve punching power.
